Yes and how the coolant hose Tee gets connected. Pretty sure it will use the same one as the 2.4kw.

I'd also expect they'd both feed off the same coolant line because they'd both only need to be cooled when Pro Power On Board is activated.

I want to try, but I'm concerned about the truck's computers not being programed to know the parts are installed and not letting them work or producing problematic errors when they do work.

For what it's worth my dealer told me that a customer with a Super Duty ICE truck with the hyprid power train had gotten the 7.2kW inverter that is an option on that truck installed by a customizer. I also found another dealer (thousands of miles from where I live) that was advertising that upgrade to the Super Duty hybrid trucks. That modification differs from the one on the Lightning in that, on that truck, they replace the 2.4kW inverter with the 7.4kW inverter instead of adding the 7.4kW inverter & keeping the 2.4kW inverter in place.

There is no such thing as a hybrid Super Duty, and you can only get the 2k ProPower with it.

I would love to see a link to see how they accomplished that.

The 2k system is an inverter installed under the rear seat in the ICE truck. The 7.2 is in the engine bay of the 3.5 Hybrid of the F150.

Lightning is different. You install it under the bed near the spare tires. You don't remove the 2.4kw system you are adding 7.2kw to it.

We just need someone with the 7.2kw pro power to remove the bed to see how the connation goes and how they Tee off the hoses.

On the F150 (not Super Duty) hybrid they replace the 2.4kW inverter with the 7.2kW one and replace the receptacle. It's simple. With the Lightning they add a 7.2kW inverter, but keep the 2.4. Only slightly more complicated.

I doubt they do in general, but perhaps a franchisee did it on the side. I really only know what the dealer told me about the Line-X thing.

Are you going to try it? Modifying the computer should be no issue as you take another truck vin with that option and adding it to your.
