Mine’s a Platinum and my 6.1 update also says nothing about intelligent backup. My guess is it doesn’t show because either a) It knows I don’t use intelligent backup or b) I actually updated everything with FDRS a week ago so I already have this intelligent backup patch.

Despite the notes saying it updated the expiration date for Bluecruise mine still says it expires Dec-21-2073 which if true means I’m keeping this truck forever.

Maybe the number of people using the Intelligent Backup is just too small for anyone to really notice.

Youse guys just don't follow the Intelligent Backup threads! A week ago @hifixenthusiast reported that Ford and Sunrun personally delivered Power Up 6.1 to his truck to make Intelligent Backup work like a champ:

I seem to have trouble getting OTA updates, perhaps because I don't drive very much and my LVB isn't >80% SOC. No sign of 6.1 for me! (I also have a 2023 ER Lariat only put in service 5/5/23...).

oh don’t get too excited — the maps expiration date is separate from the BC subscription expiration. The maps originally were meant to expire quarterly as a safety measure, so that you don’t get Hands Free in an area that changed a lot from when it was mapped. But Ford had so much trouble delivering timely map updates that now they set the expiration 50 years into the future.

I also just got this update. I find it interesting since I don’t have blue cruise at all or the intelligent back up. I guess it’s just ford keeping all the trucks on the same update version.

I don’t think there’s been an update that changed anything as far as power delivery or anything that matters since the change in regen but I am not sure since Ford just tells us “We’ve been working hard”

I lied, the battery percentage was pretty significant.

ICE trucks started getting this last week. It is a GWM update and 6.2.0 followed shortly after and is also a GWM update.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does GWM stand for? I've googled it and come up with nothing that relates to cars! Thanks.

Gateway Module. Think of it as the network router for your truck. Communicates to all of the other modules.

Now if they had included the option to use ProPower without the truck on - some dancing in the streets. I guess that is still for another date however.

I have not received the update as yet. Look forward to that fixing my HiS backup system.

Dumb question. I just got off the phone with Ford and they told me my last update was July 2023.

Is there a way to "force" an update? I am not seeing these updates everyone is talking about.

pS While I was on the phone I asked if I should have BC 1.2. (I am on BC 1.0 with my 2023 Lariat). They said they would be skipping over BC 1.2 and going to 1.3.....but they didn't know when 1.3 would be available for my Lightning.

The force is not with me....yet.

No way to force an update to be sent to your truck. No one knows when BC 1.3 will be officially released, but it is believed by people that know way more about this than I do that these 6.x.x updates are the beginning of the BC 1.3 rollout.

Nothing that is customer facing regarding BlueCruise changed in this one. But I'm surprised no one has jumped on the Intelligent Backup fix in this update!

I would if I would get the update... haven't had an update since early July... I would love to test that feature out as I think that might resolve the reliability issues... I know it's a communication problem so it sounds plausible that will fix it.
