Are weeks with no scheduled builds used to refit the line, or are they used to play catch up? If so, the line should be back on schedule after this week, as there don't appear to be trucks scheduled for 10/30 either...

Yes, with you guys running the week of 10/30 and subsequently if a fresh build week is issued this coming Wednesday evening for 11/6, I would expect them to be back on track that week, anticipate seeing much lower volumes too.

If the truck technically has not been built can you make modifications to it? The dealer was going to spray the bed but if it’s still at the factory maybe it’s better there? I’m also on the fence with the max tow, I doubt I’ll ever need it but if I do I’ll regret it.

No, once the window sticker is generated no further modifications can be made.
Let the dealer continue with the plan to sub out the liner locally.
Max tow could be a good resale feature, you might never use it but a future owner might appreciate it being there.

Has anyone seen any tracking updates to this build week recently? I'm ready to put a deposit down on a dealer-ordered XLT, but torn between a few of them. My top choice dealer/vehicle is in this build week but the tracker shows "In Production" without a date and the last update was October 11. May have to go with my 2nd choice vehicle/dealer as that option just flipped to "built" a few days ago.

Is there any worry that these build dates late in the year could be pushed to MY24, even if they already have a blend date, etc?

If you have a blend day it will be built, those who don't have a blend day yet are the ones who should worry about orders being closed out and converted to MY24, but we still have 5 more production weeks for them to be accomodated.

The trucks were running down the line about 12 days behind schedule based on my most recent sample of a 10/9 build week truck, it was intended to blend on 10/12, but actually ran the line and now has a tear tag on 10/24 @stevey_frac thank you for sharing your data so we are able to measure the pulse of production at the Rouge.

I'm concerned about the trucks set for blend day 10/15, I would have expected to see service module codes for all of them today, but not one is showing any coding or tear tags!!!!

The 10/9 build week is still running right now, 10/15 trucks should be done either tonight or Tuesday, pushing your kick off to Tues/Wed's

As mentioned in the 10/9 build week.

Subsequently, build week 10/23 will follow immediately on Wednesday and being as it's running 250 fewer trucks, it should wrap up this coming Sunday, hopefully leading to the 11/6 build week kicking off just in time, but if there is any remaining slack, their production goal was similarly compressed by another 498 trucks for a very low volume of 1019 Lightnings, ideally they will be fully in sync for build 11/13

First indicators that production is started for this build week, the first tasca truck I'm watching was scheduled for 10/25, shows in production 11/1, seven days offset

I was hoping that the codes would come down on the 3rd. It's my birthday, and I think it would be cool if my truck and I were born on the same day. If the codes come on the 5th, if it takes 14 days to build, 14 days to get on a train and 21 days to deliver to Maine, that would put the truck at the dealer on the week before Christmas. That is a little too close for comfort, but I have already walked away from one order this year, so I will stick it out on this one.

I am encouraged by the decreasing volume of trucks each week and the end of the UAW action. Both bode well for more efficient build, finish and transport times (though, now that I think about it, the truck may have to wait longer for a full train car... ). Still I bet I'll see it at the dealer sooner than that estimate (which used intervals on the long side of average).

Is anyone else in this group still waiting on trucks from this week? I assume that these are all dealer ordered stock (blue-framed window stickers).

I have a deposit on one and dealer had insinuated I would get it the first week of November, looking highly unlikely. I wonder if Thanksgiving is even possible. Next week is my birthday too!

Agree, it looks like they are off the catch up pace by 2 to 3 days, I'm also watching a 10/27 blend which is showing service codes now, two more blend days to get through and that build week is run the main line.
