@TaxmanHog , @Maquis : The other thing about my FCSP is it not on WiFi, so it has never seen a software update since installing back in April.
I wonder if it's interrupting charging when it senses over temp conditions?
That initial set of updates solved a lot of issues for most folks.

Is there any way you can configure a wifi connection to a cell phone hotspot, (third party phone) not the one you're using to set-up / configure settings and download updates?

That should be running maximum to 94% of maximum rate setting, based on my experiences.

My FCSP set at 80 amps, one would expect 19.2KW @ 240v, but the reality is that I'm averaging 18KW

How many hours / minutes does that take for a typical daily recharge?
We could compute average throughput !
KWh added over the time it takes to reach 90% comes out to the same rate it shows during the session. Ie., 10KW rate after 2hrs shows 20KWH added.

That is a possibility. I could use my wife’s phone as a hotspot. 🤔

I have monitored it thru FordPass while it’s charging and have not seen it stop or even change much. I did see it at 11KW the other day, but it never got anywhere near 18KW.

10-11 kw is what Ford Pass reports with my 60 amp hard wired Tesla 48 amp output Wall connector.

Are you wired to a 100 amp circuit and and configured as a 100 amp with the DIP Switches in the Wall charger?

Doesn’t the amber light come on when there’s an over temp condition?

Not sure, I never experienced the problem, mine updated within 24 hours of first power up.
The chart shows solid amber indicates fault requiring troubleshooting.

Third row from the bottom is what I was referring to. It will show this if you dial it down in the app, but I think it will also show if the rate is reduced by the FCSP for other reasons such as over temp.

Its never happened to me, either.

Yes to both. I’ve cycled it several times as well. To be specific, the FCSP has a tiny dial that can be adjusted. No DIP switches.

It is installed with the recommended wire sizes and types and it’s only 15ft from the main panel. 🤷‍♂️

Since it is still serving the purpose and doesn’t limit my use of the truck, I guess I’ll just it go.

Gross energy to net stored, I agree 8-10% conversion losses.

-BUT-

The FordPass charging information screen displays ~16-17 KW rate when I'm charging, while my Emporia Vue2 reports ~18KW rate, so there is a reporting inaccuracy on the Fordpass display, 12 minutes into the 7am starting time.

The session was 48 minutes of charging followed by 15 minutes of remote start warming.
This chart shows the end of charging followed by Remote start with a 1 minute gap
