Went to a local dealer because they had what I was initially looking for, a base XLT. But then they told me they were interested in getting rid of one of their early demo cars that they got for launch, a 2022 red F150 Lightning Lariat extended range, 81k sticker.

I know the 2023 people were getting 7k or so off of sticker plus $7500 from Ford and then the Fed....

This one is still new, but has accumulated 680 miles or so, and well, almost 2 years old...

So what's a fair price to offer on this truck? I was thinking like $60k minus the $7,500 Fed incentive if that is still avail on this guy?
Or... can do more? Considering a few months ago people were getting these 2023 Lariat ER for around $65k?

You can always ask, but I don't think they'll show you a sub-65k deal... it's a great truck and frankly, those deals are gone today, unlikely to return soon imo with CT info now out. You'll love the truck though!

Which dealer is this? I had been looking at a red 2022 Lariat extended before just buying our 2023 red new. A lot of the dealers didn’t want to budge on their demos for some reason.
I was able to get one dealer down to $63 for a used red 22 with like 500 miles but it was too far to justify the shipping and flight cost.
Got our ‘23 for $70k out the door.

I got an untitled/new 22 Lariat ER in September for 65k + TTL. It had 3k miles on it and the dealer was using it as a loaner. MSRP was just under the 80k mark without the destination charges, so it qualifies for the $7500 tax rebate I'll file this year with my taxes.

Mine wasn't a demo, but I suggest you check and see if that will impact the $7500 tax rebate. Since it is upfront now the dealer should know, but research it yourself regardless.

I think $55k-$60k prior to EV rebate is fair. A handful of us got 2023 Lariat ERs for around $65k before EV rebate in November/December.

If the $81K sticker includes delivery charge, it should qualify for the federal tax credit. It must be under $80K after subtracting the delivery charge.

Plus, 22s have some features removed for 23.

quick update on this, turns out while car is "new" in the system it was marked as sold "g-code?"
So sales manager says not eligible for tax credit. Further, the warranty is now not as of time of sale now, but would be when it was turned into service then, which was in mid 2022. lol.

yeah,

2023 XLT with standard battery has MSRP at $55k plus $5k for 312a Equipment group. Extended range battery is $10k. That's $70k for XLT ER. End of November 2023 price at several different dealerships in the NW.
I find it hard to believe that you got Lariat ER for $65k.

Not really... NJ dealers were doing $7,500 off... plus you had the extra ford incentive of $7,500. ... there is $15k right there... so $65k before 7500 fed incentive.

Ford incentive of $7500 and dealership $7500 off are the same thing. When I was shopping for mine, that is what every dealership told me. Otherwise, one could get a Lariat cheaper than XLT ER. Do you have a window sticker that shows that?

let me be specific…. $7500 or more dealer discount… minus $7500 ford credit…. And then federal.

right now I just spoke with 2 dealers doing $7500 off msrp on XLT! My local one offered $5k off.

deals are there.
