to be clear, the discount from the dealer was only $9820. The rest was all rebates that I qualified for.

Just to update you and others, I’m still working on a deal on a Lariat. We are firm on numbers except for the 3750 X plan rebate. It’s the only thing holding up the deal as they are adamant you can’t combine x plan rebates and dealer discount. I’ve sent the sales manager the flyer that 2023 Lightnings aren't eligible for X plan pricing. I even sent him a sales sheet from your dealer showing them applying a discount plus X plan rebates. At this point I’m half tempted to just buy and have it shipped as I’m in the Midwest. The sales manager is escalating it through his Ford Rep. Any other ideas to show him the X plan rebates can be combined with discounts before I move on? The only reason I haven’t is the dealer is giving an 8k dealer discount plus a very solid trade in number..

somebody on Reddit commented today that they were able to apply X-plan rebate without issue. So it’s definitely replicable, just depends on your dealers knowledge.

I suspect that user on Reddit may have been Kenny. Anyway, it seems I am running into the same retail be (a plan for me) pricing issue. To be clear, no one is offering nearly 10k in retail discounts to me anyway. Also, my zip code only qualifies me for 5k mfg rebate regardless of the advertised rebates in the region. 12500 is a significant difference and accounts for the gap i am seeing do being able to get 63-64 ish at best and your roughly 50k. If I could get that 12500, I would happily jump in!

Not sure where you’re at, but are you getting 7500 mfr rebate or just 5000? I was looking at a lot of northeastern dealers since they advertise a 7500 rebate. However, they will only honor 5k for me. That said if you make a deal that is replicable, let me know, as I will see if I can muster the same. Just frustrated trying to get the dealers to play ball. I see why so many like the Tesla model. It gets frustrating working with the dealers trying to achieve deals that you know others are getting. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Glad you are having better luck! Hope you get that last rebate!

The dealer I bought from, same as OP, applied to xplan discount without issue.

I get the frustration everyone is having. I definitely saw the same frustrations before i saw this post. The pricing is all over the map. Keep trying, you may get lucky.

dealer is correct that certain zip codes only get $5k for lariat whereas others get $7500. Not sure why Ford made that call but it is zip specific. XLT ER does get $7500 nationwide.

Love my Lariat! best vehicle I've ever owned and at almost 70 years old I've owned a lot. Also the most fun vehicle to drive I've ever owned including any of my 3 Corvetts (a '65, '78, and a brand new '85). and it will smoke any of them!

In all fairness on the corvette part those cars were not fast at all at least stock, I too vote for truck is not perfect but it is a decent truck, my has some weird drive train issue no one will fix and I thing mine has the ford water leak starting to smell

You are never going to find a good deal in Florida unless you know a guy who knows a guy or something. This is for any car, not just Ford.

Here’s the breakdown of my deal. Not the best as we only get 5k lariat cash here in the Midwest but I’m very happy with it. Missouri dealership and residence for reference

I had a trade in which my best offer through Car Max, Carvana, Autonation, etc was 16500. They gave me 18000 for it so you could technically add another $1500 to the dealer discount. I left it off to make it cleaner.

Here’s how I finally got it across the finish line. I was working 1 on 1 with the owner. We went round and round on the X Plan rebates as that was the only hold up. He was adamant you could not combine dealer discount with the X plan rebate. I brought up the idea why don’t you use X plan pricing, and add the “dealership discount” number to my trade in. They agreed. With this, my numbers on the sales sheet are different than what I put above, but the final number is still the same. Thanks again!!! I have so much to learn!
