Good morning/ afternoon folks.
I have a question Re: Brake coach.
When using brake coach, and you slow down, it tells you, " xx% of energy returned".
So, xx% energy of WHAT is returned? Your whole trip, the last minute, since I last braked ? It is not clear..
(I searched here for other post But didn't find one that answered my question)

And does anyone know of a tutorial on the Lightning HVAC system operation?
There are times I JUST want outside fresh air coming in w/o using ANY heat or cooling.
Thanks for all the help, folks....appreciate it!

I always interpreted the % to be specific only to the brake session that had just occurred.

In the XLT if you want just plain outside air, you hit the blendor button (the one that lets you select between face, feet and window) and make sure the heat is off. Then you make sure the light on the AC button is off, as well the light of the recirculater should be off.

The expected max energy that could be reclaimed (regenerated) in bringing the vehicle to a stop once deceleration is started.

If you allow solely regerative breaking then the maximum that could be reclaimed was. This does not mean all the kinetic energy of the vehicle was reclaimed as there are still losses in the system, friction heat etc.

Not to confuse things more (maybe I'm adding clarity), but I've messed around with the braking score a lot during my commute. I use 2 pedal driving. When I take my foot off the gas, that's when the brake score session begins. I can press the brake pedal, then release it to coast, then press it again any number of times. That's all within the same session. The brake score will be displayed when my speed drops below 5mph.

Sometimes I coast towards the traffic ahead of me that is stopped and right before I hit the 5mph mark, traffic will start moving and I have to apply the accelerator. Then I don't get a brake score for the long coasting/braking session because I've reset the session by applying the accelerator and when I release it, a new session begins.

I can't answer your air from outside question because that's when I crack the window.

I like to pop the sun roof up and crack the back window open. It draws in air without it blowing directly on me.

I would possibly do that but I would like to avoid the high air flows blowing on me (as mentioned above). If I crack the back windows I get a whoop, whoop whoop of sound (hard to explain the sound) and can feel a percussion of pressure change's in the cab, and THAT is irritating.

the pressure 'bumping' that happens when you only let down the rear windows can be overcome by slightly lowering one or both of the front windows, although that's not always a desirable option...

it works this way for any vehicle... my wife's brand new KIA EV9 is the same way...

Ever see a word in books, and pronounce it wrong, and you don't find out till years later when someone calls you on it, but by then the mispronunciation is stuck in your head and you can't get rid of it? This is the opposite. I had a blend door actuator break in my wife's old TJ, and the mechanic with some sort of Creole/Louisianna swamp-rat accent told me what was wrong. I heard it as "blendor", and now I can't not think of that button as the "blendor" control. I'll have to focus on that to not get roasted by y'all :ROFLMAO:

It's all good man, just poking fun lol, we've likely all been there with some word at one point or another.
