Sudden momentary loss of acceleration

Had a friend who experienced a sudden momentary loss on acceleration when attempting to accelerate quickly. Not full pedal and not slippery roads at the time.

Vehicle accelerated, lost acceleration, then accelerated again after a second or 2.

Maybe related, maybe not. But He did have a car wash a few miles up the street from this occurrence.

Anyone experience anything similar?

Stab-in-the-dark guess, tire sheen might have temporarily degraded traction, got some wheel slip and the traction control intervened?

Thanks but he definitely didn't get tire sheen. The tires arent shiny at all and it was numerous miles before he reached the spot where it happened.

Take it to a dealership, there is a customer satisfaction program (CSP) for my 22', High voltage battery module replacement andor battery energy control module becm software update Campaign# 23B57. The service department told me that they don't do the CSP work until the customer has a problem.
Your friend should create an account at ford.com to find all the information he needs about his truck. Good luck to him on finding a competent service department, I went through four dealerships before I found a good one.
