Got tagged for this. I've never experienced issues with the sensors failing except when in direct sunlight. Dealer said they will handle this after doing body work.

I happened to have my truck in today for something else and this popped up a day or two ago on my app. I had them apply this software update. It took multiple hours, killed the original 12V battery, the dealership replaced the 12v under warranty, drained the new 12v, recharged the new 12v and kept it on a battery tender to get the update complete. Just passing along my experience. I had not had any issues related to this prior that I was aware of. My 12V was less than 2 years old.

Sweet. Let us know how long it takes. The TECH instructions says it can take 2 hours and 40 minutes!
I find that hard to believe though

Just dropped off the Lightning and they showed me on their screen it takes 12+ hours just for the 24B56 update. They're also accomplishing 23B57 & 23B70 so indicated it may take several days if there's any issues.

That's interesting as in the tech note attached to the start of this thread it indicates it could take 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The update only took an hour. My PRO-LOGIX PL2320 was not suppling enough power to keep the voltage up on this update so the tech hooked up his battery cables to his van. The cables didn't get hot, but they were warm enough to know they were moving electrons into the LVB. While we waited he had just enough coolant to top off my tank. He offered to fill my washer fluid, but I declined since I just filled it up. This was my second experience with Ford mobile service and I was again satisfied/thankful for the option.
