I love my lightning. Bought a leftover 23 so was lucky I got BC for 3 yrs included and the ford pro charger. I bought it out in California while I was out there working. I type this as I’m doing my last charge before arriving home in Michigan. The truck is fantastic. Charging has been an issue at all. Especially since we can use Tesla superchargers. I’m am very happy with it for sure. Plus I got a great deal on it. Almost 25k off sticker. Including the $7500 POS credit. 😁

Back in 2020 when I made up my mind to buy an EV. I strated looking at what was out there.
Why I bought the F-150 lighting
#1 Pro power on board VTH back up power to my home.
#2 I save $4,000.00 a year on gas.
#3 full size truck my family is safer in this rig.
#4 full size spare not to be under rated.
#5 lots of room in the cab great for long trips.
#6 just the best all around vehicle for any home tasks.
Bottom line yes I'm very happy with my Lightning

I'm happy, but I came in with first testing waters with a 21 Mach-e SR. Initially the Mach-e was great, then winter hit and range was a problem. Then OTA updates messed up my giant screen and the dealership never could get it fixed. I went to 23 XLT ER on purpose for the range I needed and to avoid the giant screen.

Am I bothered by the charging infrastructure, yes. EA and CP just suck and the experience is terrible more then good. The lack of getting the Tesla adapter ordered in Feb is ridiculous too. I solved both of these problems for less then $200 by buying and A2Z adaptor and so for 3 road trips have been flawless using Tesla Super Chargers. I'll avoid all others now and enjoy charging that just works.

No matter what vehicle when you go to the forum for that vehicle, most of the comments are negative or how to fix or resolve an issue. Don't hear how happy folks are very often. I use forums to help resolve an issue for every vehicle I have owned.
Right on. That's what forums are for.

I love mine and I’m a Tesla convert. Traded my MYP in on it. 9,952 miles and counting, 6 months in. Long trips, short trips. Love it. The only thing I miss is tesla’s software.

I have a Maverick on order, but started having reservations about the size and utilitarian interior a couple weeks ago, so I started looking at the Ford Lightnings. I read about the tech and features and was pretty excited. But there are so many negative reviews online. There's maybe 1 positive review for every 9 that say "I hated my Lightning and sold it and a huge loss" reviews. Even here it seems like the majority are unhappy with their purchase. Am I making a huge mistake even looking at the Lightning?
It's a use-case scenario if you don't put a little thought into why you are buying it you have an 80% chance of being dissatisfied. 2023 XLT ER my first EV its been a game changer I love it. Key factor you really need to have a home charger for optimal enjoyment. I don't think I'll ever ICE again.

I absolutely love mine. I bought it because I needed a new tow vehicle (I have a 6500 lb, 30' travel trailer), but I didn't want to buy another gas guzzler. The lightning tows beautifully.

The thing is, it's such a great vehicle, that even if I didn't need a tow vehicle, I'd still want my lightning.

I think you see a lot of the complaints on this forum because those are the people who are seeking help (or wish to vent their frustrations). Those of us that love our lightnings are just out driving our trucks, rather than here posting on the forum. Having said that, there are some threads where you can see a lot of that positivity, like the 'What did you do to your lightning today' thread or the 'Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Post Yours!' thread.
We love to hear that, Todd! The F-150 Lightning is an EV beast built for towing!
