Would love to have an insert for where the shifter stows (I never stow it) to improve it for use as a third cup holder.

The author posted the free model because of listings like that one you linked. I won't be selling them.@sstevetx
Not sure who, but someone sells these on eBay for almost $50 with shipping. You could easily make some money if you sell them.

Funny you say that, I’ve been thinking of making a cover for my stubby. I was going to put the flag logo on it. I wasn’t going to make it the shape of a flag, just a larger diameter and add the flag logo or lightning text logo to it. If and when I get around to it, I’ll post the model for sure.Anyone done or know of a model for a lightning bolt as a "stubby" antenna replacement?
I have tried working on an insert to turn it into a phone holder with charging cord feed through, but I can't get the compound angles and curves right. I really need a 3D scan of the cavity to do it right.Would love to have an insert for where the shifter stows (I never stow it) to improve it for use as a third cup holder.
Yes. I’ve been wanting a 3D scanner for stuff like this, and Facebook keeps advertising them to me (have no idea if they are any good or worth 1K). What I usually do is try to take images square to any angles I can, and then use it as a canvas in Fusion 360. Then just spline tool it. You could at least get the perimeter correct. Some of the angles down the “hole” may be tougher, but for a phone stand, I’d just get the perimeter as good as I could, then just add some draft to make it a compression fit. Just printed one and it fits perfect, printing another one now for the driver's side. I also didn't get why it came up so shy from the end of the seat, but this should help alot..Here's something else nice I ran across. It is for all F150 in our year range, so it should fit. It connects to the under-seat vents and redirects the flow to give more directed air for backseat passengers. I am printing it now, but Bambu says 16 hours. I am using PLA like the author did and the same settings including the tree supports. If it ever warps I can always reprint in PETG.
