Would love to have an insert for where the shifter stows (I never stow it) to improve it for use as a third cup holder.

Anyone done or know of a model for a lightning bolt as a "stubby" antenna replacement?
Funny you say that, I’ve been thinking of making a cover for my stubby. I was going to put the flag logo on it. I wasn’t going to make it the shape of a flag, just a larger diameter and add the flag logo or lightning text logo to it. If and when I get around to it, I’ll post the model for sure.

I have tried working on an insert to turn it into a phone holder with charging cord feed through, but I can't get the compound angles and curves right. I really need a 3D scan of the cavity to do it right.

Yes. I’ve been wanting a 3D scanner for stuff like this, and Facebook keeps advertising them to me (have no idea if they are any good or worth 1K). What I usually do is try to take images square to any angles I can, and then use it as a canvas in Fusion 360. Then just spline tool it. You could at least get the perimeter correct. Some of the angles down the “hole” may be tougher, but for a phone stand, I’d just get the perimeter as good as I could, then just add some draft to make it a compression fit. Just an idea.

Here's another thing: I've got wider off-road tires which just poke out the side and this seems to cause more sand, dirt, etc to be thrown up on to the car. I'm thinking of adding some wheel fender flares and so far my research isn't turning up anything ideal. So, I started wondering if I could 3d print something that would work (or make a 3d print mold). Anyway, I haven't done any 3d printing - so would this be possible, is it worth doing and what would I need to do to get it done?

Here's something else nice I ran across. It is for all F150 in our year range, so it should fit. It connects to the under-seat vents and redirects the flow to give more directed air for backseat passengers. I am printing it now, but Bambu says 16 hours. I am using PLA like the author did and the same settings including the tree supports. If it ever warps I can always reprint in PETG.

Just printed one and it fits perfect, printing another one now for the driver's side. I also didn't get why it came up so shy from the end of the seat, but this should help alot..

Noticed one of my dimensions had a broken reference.. the charging pad was off center as a result That will drive my OCD crazy.. So I updated my settings and I'm printing a new one now. the prototype in the pictures above is up for grabs if anyone wants it! Free for first taker, charging pad not included.

Alright, so my scanner came in and I've had a go at scanning the shifter hole and creating a flat platform for building off of. Ive created a smaller and larger version and messed around with adding phone mounts and storage to the smaller one.

Here is a picture of the scan and 2 inserts I've made.

they fit very accurately and snug. Ive been very happy with the quality of the scan and fitment of parts made from it so far.
Ive messed around with making a landscape phone holder/charger for the smaller insert, but these should serve as great platforms for building or attaching custom mounts or whatever you want to the shifter hole.

and here is the larger platform in the hole. The larger version has a cover for the button that folds down the shifter, so you can't accidentally push it while it is installed.
