TeslaTap was THE adapter for level 2 charging years ago. I have one. Compared to A2Z's level 2 Stellar adapter, it's not better - but it cost a lot more. Support won't be the same from the company like A2Z's.

The locking mechanism on the NACS side looks like a sliding lock similar to A2Z's V1 adapter that they're now recalling. Can't say for sure from the pictures though.

These people make quality products. I love my Level 2 TeslaTap.

I have a TeslaTap Mini and an A2Z Stellar. I don't use my TeslaTap anymore because I prefer the A2Z. TelsaTap is hard to remove as compared to the Stellar.

Looks like TeslaTap took all of the problems that A2Z had and fixed them before they released it.
They replaced the plastic NACS lock with a metal latch so you cannot get an arc flash off of it.
They replaced the CCS lock that was breaking with billet aluminum
They added a different NACS slide lock to make it much easier.
I have no idea what else they did but those are very apparent.

More options is always a good thing.

I especially like the (mostly) "made in USA" aspect of the TeslaTap, according to their webpage. If I didn't already have an A2Z, I would look further into the TeslaTap.

I agree with others that my A2Z has been super reliable. I did 19 charges on a 3300 mile road trip with it. As soon as I had an issue with my original, A2Z sent me the Typhoon Pro which fixed the issue. Great company to work with.

I found support from Teslatap to be just as good as A2Z - both have been excellent

The locking assembly in the Supertap is actually aluminum rather than plastic.
I was told that the plastic locking assembly is one of the reasons that the adapter was recalled.
