Have you tried folding the shifter and then unfolding it?
Tried it. Makes more noise than I remember from others vehicle . Still get pull over safely and 12v messages and won’t start.

If that doesn’t work here is the alternate method.
Thank you! And I’m assuming this method is meant if no power available to truck at all so don’t have the accessory power on, correct?

It does require 12V but I don’t think you have to turn it on. This is the method used when there’s a software problem and there’s no menu. There’s also a full video on towing with all the details.

Have you tried charging it with the portable charger? Listen for the contactors to click and inverter to hum. If the contactors aren't clicking then it may be a HVBJB issue.

Had a Mach-e for 3 plus years and I remember posts saying to carry one as insurance. Never needed one. Will pick one up but since it is in my driveway, I can connect a 120v charger to it for the same effect. I have a Juicebox but the driver did not park it close enough for the cable to reach.

Broken brake pedal switch.......................
Wouldn't it just go into accessory mode? There would be no reason for the error messages. Unless the switch was broken and the truck knew it was broken. But it sounds like from his responses that it's unlikely to be the switch.

Tow truck driver finally picked up the truck and it is on the way to local dealer (flatbed just barely long enough to fit the truck). Followed the methods above to get into Tow mode. First couple of times was able to just use the screen. And then had to use the brake and gas pedal method. Not sure why screen option became greyed out. My driveway is on a hill so we first had to get it off the hill and down on to the street so gravity was working with the driver and now against. So we had to engage and disengage tow mode a few times to get it in the right position and then up on the truck. Since his truck was barely long enough, he ad to re-connect the straps from the front tow hook to two spots on the frame underneath to finish the last4 feet or so. The angle was such that the only contact points were the frame. I have it all on a few videos.

Thanks to all that posted the directions and video. They were absolutely helpful!
