For the second time my heater does not work. The dealer cannot look at it until 12/17. So, I have tried to plugin a space heater and it trips the proPower outlet in the cabin. ProPower is set to 90w on the outlet and it does not allow me to increase the wattage to support the space heater. Does anyone have any idea how to increase the wattage on this outlet?

The cabin outlets in the Lightning are limited to 2400 watts or less. The Pro Power OnBoard screen will indicate <90 watts when little to no power is being used. The is no adjustment.

I suspect your space heater thermostat may have been set too low or the plug /receptacle may have a problem. There may also be a PPOB problem related to the HVAC trouble.

Check the outlet with another load be sure.

I plugged in a different heater and when it hit about 1400W the breaker tripped. I reset everything and turned the heater on Medium and it pulled 800W. The plug and heater stayed on. BTW, I tried to use a wet-saw in the bed of the truck and it tripped the breaker immediately.

Must be a power surge issue with the items you are using.

I don't believe I have had any issue with anything I have used. For instance I have used this 240v 5600W Portable Electric Garage Heater several times for multiple hours with no issue.

I run a Lasko 1500W Pro-Ceramic space heater plugged into the outlets at the back of the console. It works great on sunny days with lots of UV so you don't even need the cabin heat from the truck. The heater rides on the back floor behind the drivers seat. I'm not sure what is going on in your situation but I know it is working for me.

Not certain about the capacity of the inverter. I have a 2022 lariat ER if that helps.

I believe all 22' Lariats and above had 9.6kw as standard. If you have the 240v outlet (circled in Pic) than you have the 9.6kw Pro Power Onboard. The 240v plug is 7.2 kw and uses (2) 3.6kw inverters from my recollection of how it works.

Edit: I believe I'm incorrect. A little searching states there are (2) 3.6kw circuits, but one 7.2kw inverter in the bed. (rear). and then a separate 2.4 kW inverter supplies 120V power to outlets located in the frunk (front trunk), cab, and an initial set of bed outlets.

So, not really sure I understand why you are using a space heater in the cabin unless you are trying to heat something other than the cabin. To run PPOB, you need to leave the truck running. Why not just use the cabin heater? It seems redundant to plug in a separate space heater for that purpose when you have one built in.

If the heater worked, I would use it. The dealer cannot work on it until the 17th. And, it is cold in Maryland today.

Post a photo of your rear bed outlets.
pro power would have the dual inverters and give you a 7200 watt 240 bed outlet.

As a temporary solution: If you have a small, portable fridge, put it in the back seat, plug it into the outlet, open its door, and run it at its coldest setting. Get it going a good half hour or more before you need the truck. The feedback loop with the fridge door open will quickly bring it up to almost 100% duty and it will warm the cabin while falling to keep the fridge interior cold. Not recommended as a long-term solution.
