Rear bench doesn’t latch

I have a 24 Flash and love it. I have a question about the rear seat bench. There’s a pull to release the seat to lift it up but it doesn’t latch when you put it back down. Does anyone else have this issue?

They do not latch in the down position, only the up position. This is normal.

Typical from the FMC online presence…. Probably whatever customer service intern is delegated to monitor the account this week. I appreciate that Ford tries to maintain a presence here, but for most of us it hasn’t exactly been helpful. Already a big thread discussing just this…. Some have managed to have a useful interaction, so YMMV.

Mine has the opposite problem. I have to push it incredibly hard in the up position to get the latch to stick. Half the time it doesn't latch and comes crashing down while I'm driving, scaring the crap out of me.
