I mentioned you in the thread on this issue, folks are curious if it's still a thing that needs updating.
They said it did but only took about 10 minutes for that one.
Just found a problem. One of the updates re started the door chime and chime at start up as well as messed up my bed light activation via the switch I installed. I need @GDN to help me correct those. My Matrix headlights, 5 click turn signal and zone lighting are still good though

As another data point, I went in for the parking sensor and frunk updates. They applied the updates to the FHCM but said there were no updates for the IPMA and PSCM so did nothing for the front sensor.

I have had issues since new in Feb. 2024 with the front sensors not working and still continue to have issues. Not sure how to resolve at this point.

I’m still trying to sort out the camera fix. Had the update. Remote tech came out and when I looked over his shoulder it said the parking sensor update had not been applied.

What were you looking at? Was it PTS? Or something in FDRS?

If it was the PTS screen that shows the open FSAs for your VIN with yellow highlighting behind the text...then yeah, that will still be on the PTS screen until they process the action in the dealership showing it's completed. It's not an immediate thing in most cases.

Here's an example of the PTS FSA block:
Ford F-150 Lightning CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks Outstanding_FSA

But again, I don't know what you were looking at.....

I’ve had such unfortunate luck overall when taking trucks in, to the point that this entire past year on my lightning I’ve avoided the shop completely so far. I am encouraged enough after reading others experiences overall with Ford Mobile service that I’m going try that out….
I’m showing that I’m still due still for both of these CSPs:

I just did this, took 5 hours or so just for this update. One of my TPS sensors didn’t work and needed reconfigured.
On the app, it didnt clear this CSP. So I don’t know if it was actually done or not.

Clearing the FSA on the FordPass app or on PTS is a function of the shop signing off the repair as completed in the system. Many shops don't get around to doing that 'cleanup' administrative stuff until days or sometimes weeks later. I wouldn't worry about.

I do my own updates. So my outstanding FSAs for those issues stayed in the system for many months after I did the updates, until I asked my service advisor to sign them off when I went in for the 10K (AKA a tire rotation). It means nothing to see those FSAs still showing up if you know the work has been done and there aren't any issues.

I checked the lane centering setting and it was already set to "off", so, hmmm... oh well, hitting the steering wheel button each time I turn on cruise ctl. is no big deal.
@LUXMAN - Good luck - hope it does fine for you!
There was an update, maybe silent, that changed this. It is well documented in another thread. Turning on cruise control turns on lane centering regardless of the lane centering toggle in Sync.

I too miss having that be an option. Have to turn it off on the steering wheel each time.

How would I know the work was done?

I noticed something today that I've seen before but since I don't often drive when it's dark, I'd forgotten about it. Anyway....I started the truck this afternoon and the IPC brightness setting popped up in the middle of the display, indicating it was full bright. So I reached down and bumped it down about three notches.

But then it occurred to me that I'd had to do the same thing two days ago when I had to leave the house very early for an appointment (still dark).

Which then reminded me about the fact that the 12/24hr clock setting is stored in the IPC (but set using the toggle in the Sync menu..?)...and everytime I'd change it from the 12hr back to the 24hr format I like, the next time I'd start the truck it would be back to 12hr format again. Well, I did fix that using FORSCAN after I got fed up with it changing all the time, and after setting the bit to make it 24hrs, that seems to have stuck.

I wonder about the IPC brightness setting though. I'll bet if I went back out there right now it would be back to full bright again. Wonder why these settings in the IPC aren't persistent across key cycles?

And I found the splash screen when I open the door is gone.
I was going to call the dealer but then thought about a hard reset yesterday. I unhooked the negative battery terminal for anout an hour and a half (had to run errands) and VOILA! , All back to normal.

Nothing solves more of this trucks problems than a 10 mm wrench.

I've had that happen too. I've also had the headlights turn themselves from auto to on. I read that there was a bad batch of headlight switches that causes that. I suspect the brightness thing is related since it's the same switch module. Dealer will replace under warranty.
