Thank you for the kind words, dude! I'm not master, or even close, but my 3d printing obsession has turned into a 3d modeling obsession, so I'm making baby steps to get better!that would be awesome if you could make a flat version too! I’m not good at CAD, I just print a lot!
I just ordered a carbon fiber plate, good excuse to try it out!!
im going to try printing the lid on its side next, will post results. Main part is nearly done…10 hour printing
Ps. you’re a master with this, a huge thank you for all the time and effort! I hate my shifter. Amazing truck, and absolute horrible shifter. This is an amazing project!
For those who don't have one and want one, Infotainment will sell you the kit. What does the original shifter look like when you take it out?
I haven't done it (yet) and I think the 1st video pertains better as there is no column shifter on our trucks that the 2d video deals with.Found these 2 youtube videos on how to do the replacement. Anyone who has done it want to chime in on which video they think is better?
Awesome idea to print diagonally! Very happy to see it can be done in 256mm cubed as that appears to be a common build volume and expands my printer choices quite a bit.Printed both parts vertically. (Original cap version,… not using the carbon build plate, that comes Wednesday). No post processing done , except sanding off some of the supports in the circle.
