“You’ve Hit A Roadblock” trying to add Ford Charge Station Pro to FordPass

Hey All,

I have the charger all set up in the ChargeStation app, and when I get to the part where I can CONNECT TO FORDPASS, it opens the FP app and then I get this error message. I’ve tried resetting the charger and reinstalling the app several times. I’m at a loss and the Ford people are not helping. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there’s a solution. Thanks!

Yes. It started today. Customer service said to delete FP on all devices, reinstall and try again. If it doesn’t work to call them in the morning. I put the lime in the coconut too, just in case.
I’ll call them tomorrow because it didn’t work.

Also having the same problem. Charger still seems to work as normal but can’t access within FordPass to change charge rate.

Me neither. But looking at it through the app I don't have my blue communication bar on the charger. More than likely you will need to cycle power on the charger, like I do, to get it communicating again.

Just curious guys, do you guys see the option for “access control” in the FP charger settings? I’ve never seen that option (it’s just not there) and I’m very interested in setting that up.

The Ford pass people have no idea what I’m talking about of course.

Glad to see most of you are back in business.
Seems that back end services were down from yesterday afternoon to this morning.

Charge history might populate retroactively for missing records.

The Access Control switch they refer to is not shown in "Settings" on the Connected Charge Station tile of the Forp Pass app under "Account" It's either not ready to roll out or they forgot to include the function on the page of the app. I don't have other EV contacts to experiment with, but I'm guessing it would be tied to VIN match account profile of another vehicle. I think I've read that multi EV members have been able to charge their fleet without incident, so likely the charger is wide open for use if it's accessible in your driveway.

Thanks Taxman - I was kinda thinking the same thing. In Canada, we're always last for rollouts.
