I hate to ask a stupid question... but did you do the online chat? None of the options for category available to me made any sense and I need something new to obsess about so might as well be the delivery date.
Yeah, none of the options in the chat subjects drop down box actually match what we're asking, so I just picked one and they answered my delivery question anyway.

What Trim and Options did you order?

So far I think all the recent chip hold trucks have been Max Tow + Tow Tech, but that could be a coincidence, technically. Could be something else, still.
Pro with tow tech and 9.6 pro power

There's two options, and I picked the first.

Another data point:

Order Date: 8/11/22
Blend Date: 10/29/22
Production Date: 10/29/22
Tear Tag Received: 10/31/22

Pro SR / tow tech / max tow / no bedliner / carbonized gray / tailgate step
Location: NY

Chatted with customer service:

"Your 2023 F-150 is in production and the ETA to your dealership is 10/29 - 11/04"
"I don't see your vehicle have a microchip hold"

Here is what the sales manger at my dealer sent me today:

“It is still showing in production on my end. It has moved to an in transit status on my locater. If you want to reach out on Wednesday they should have all updating done for this week by then. I should be able to have some tentative dates then.”

We’ll see what Wednesday brings.

Just talked to Ford Chat again, and it's not giving me a lot of confidence in the accuracy of what they're telling us.

Last time I talked to them (yesterday), they said:

I show your F-150 is in production and has been produced. The ETA is November 8th-November 14th.
Today, they said Nov 8 - Nov 14 is the ETA to *SHIP*.

Rayniqua: Thank you for your patience. Your order current status is "In Production" this means the manufacturing plant is building your vehicle. Expected ETA to ship 11/8-11/14. Please note: you will be able to track it here via chat or online: https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/.

Blaine: Oh, that's a ETA to ship, not delivery?
Blaine: No chip holds noted?
Rayniqua: Yes, that is correct. There are currently no chip holds.
Blaine: Great, thanks! And no delivery ETA, yet, then?
Rayniqua: No, not at this time.
Blaine: OK, thanks for your help!
THEN, literally right after that, I forgot to close the chat, and someone else answered me with the status and said this:

Victoria: Your vehicle is in production with an estimated delivery date of 11/8-11/14. This date is estimated so it is subject to change.

They are all over the place with the dates. I have seen the same. I keep getting the same date range, but told it means different things. One time it was the delivery date, one time it was the date the missing chip would get installed. The dealer says that is the delivery date range, but is on chip hold. Still no guarantee the dates mean anything in the end.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if mine was on chip hold even though they say it isn't. If you're on chip hold, do you have Tow Technology package? The only obvious common denominator for trucks on chip hold, so far, (from the ~5-ish data points I've seen) is that they all have the Tow Technology package.

All the trucks I've seen* on hold from 10/17-10/28 have Tow Tech, but then there are other ones that are supposedly not on chip hold that have Tow Tech (mine, fair__dinkum).

Maybe it's something else, but the pattern holds for now that it's Tow Tech related, but not ALL Tow Tech trucks.

I have a Lariat SR with a 10/26 blend date, no options other than Bluecruise and all-terrain tires. Per Ford Chat its at Ramp 51 and has a chip hold. Estimated "arrival date to the dealer" is 11/19

Thanks!

Welp, between you and another one I just found in the 10/17 thread, the "Tow Tech" theory seems dead. Or there's more than one chip that's in short supply at the moment! Might be too complex to figure out from a handful of data points.
