A tear tag means that your truck’s ECU has been programmed. It also means your truck is more or less built.

Yep! Ford isn’t great at everything but they do know how to roll a truck off an assembly line.

Ok 11/07. Who is going to be the first to built? Let me know if you have an update! I'm missing the "In Production" date from most of you.

Had a week 11/7 build date, but the week has passed and I have not received an update. I’m guessing the tire shortage pushed things back a bit.

Have you been watching the ford trackers to see if your truck incremented into the "IN PRODUCTION" stage?

This typically happens ~ a couple days after your targeted blend date.

You won't hear from Ford until the BUILT stage is reached, and that could be delayed due to sporadic email issuances.

Since all the online tools weren’t working for me, I decided to call the dealer to see if he was able to find any information. As of this morning, the only status he can see is that the truck is located in Dearborn MI on Ramp 59. He checked a shipping tool and it shows the truck has an estimated ship date of December 1st. Not much to work with here, but some info is better than none at all. He said he gets updates every Friday, so I’ll call back at the end of the week.

After further digging, seems as if my original VIN has changed. Using the current VIN on my window sticker has allowed me into the Ford Order Tracker.

Edit: With the new VIN, I can see my modules have popped, I have a tear tag and my dealer says my truck is on a microchip hold. Is there a way to view whats on the Tear Tag?

be sure to use the VIN on your window stick on the top right corner. Mine has changed since I originally found it using the backdoor method.

Is there a way to view whats on the Tear Tag?

It's not a printed tag, we assume that it's a check-sum for the code loaded to your build configuration.
