This is 100% fact. Heck if you ordered from downs ford, that’s close enough to me I’ll come in tomorrow evening if I am free.Private cash offer transitioning from 2022 to 2023 because you could not order and price increased between model years is a completely different program than price protection from when your order was placed till when you take delivery. They are completely separate. The price protection covers the increase in price that took place after the model year price increase.
The private cash offer is a certificate just for you under your name, price protection covers EVERYBODY that has price increase from when they can actually place the order until it is delivered.
This is what is happening they act like the private offer is the transition offer. It doesn’t show the 5k under my vin.Doesn't sound like his dealer is saying/admitting that they are applying ADM, they are just playing dumb on the Ford price protection (possibly in the hope that he will abandon his order so that they can sell it with ADM without getting in trouble with Ford).
Even if they wanted to apply ADM, I believe they were supposed to enter their ADM in the Ford system so you would see it before you ordered and gave them the additional deposit. (https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...p-with-dealer-and-reservation-resolved.13168/) So, they may have both a Ford and a consumer protection laws problem if they try to add ADM now.
It's so interesting to see the fees of different states/dealers. NJ has no EV sales tax, where does the $32.18 come from? Not bad in the end, as my MA sales tax will be close to $3000.$48,769 MSRP after protection including Dest&Deliv
+$12.80 (online registration fee)
+$473 doc fee ($371 clerical + $102 doc deliv fee)
+$32.18 sales tax
+$7.50 NJ tire fee
+$482.50 title/reg
-$7000 private offer
TOTAL: $42,776.98
The Private Cash Offer (also known as transition offer) is $7,000.This is what is happening they act like the private offer is the transition offer. It doesn’t show the 5k under my vin.
Did I really see $32 in sales tax??? Where are you locatedThe eagle has landed!! Took a little bit at the dealer because of trying to figure out the mobile charger (didn’t get it, but dealer is going to talk to the rep), the $2k NJ credit (didn’t get it since @Ford Motor Company did not submit the lightning to be eligibile. Please submit it so I can get my credit @Ford Motor Company !!!), finding the
seller report, etc

I ordered a pro with no options so I wouldn’t risk missing the NJ credit. In the end I didn’t get it so now wishing I ordered the 360 camera package :/. Oh well loving the truck anyway!

No this was only for extended Pro and XLT orders from MY22. If you were in week 12/5 build week your window sticker was printed prior to the price hike in the December wave which I don't believe The Lariat prices went up I think it was only XLT and the Pro.So... I'm late to this part regarding price differences. How would I check to see if my vehicle is eligible for any of them?
If you we're invited to order but extended your reservation because the Pro or XLT was not available, you are eligible for the private customer offer locking you into 2022 base MSRP, even if you ordered a Lariat or Platinum when you got your second chance. (You would have been in Wave 1 or 2 of the MY 23 ordering if this applied to you.)So... I'm late to this part regarding price differences. How would I check to see if my vehicle is eligible for any of them?
That makes sense. My dealer has been good about the price being the price.“Price protection” is when the vehicle MSRP increases after ordering. I believe the dealer invoice comes to them as what the window sticker says, but the person who ordered is “price protected” to the price they ordered at. If anybody, but the person who ordered takes delivery, the price is the window sticker.
Just to close the loop on this. My Sales Manager saw the same thing I did on the Ford site but it was news to my dealership's Finance Manager. They spent yesterday morning on the phone with Ford Credit trying to figure it out and, long story short, there is no 0% rate on the Lightning. The Ford Credit site is not correct. Add this to the list of Ford's process improvement opportunities.I got to that screen by clicking on Lightning, then selecting Lariat, and then Finance offers. It wasn't a general payment calc-type inquiry. It was specific to the truck I selected.
lol yea its weird. It's 6.625% on:It's so interesting to see the fees of different states/dealers. NJ has no EV sales tax, where does the $32.18 come from? Not bad in the end, as my MA sales tax will be close to $3000.
It's a beaut!
Just EVs for now. I pay $6500 in property tax (modest town/house) which I've heard is kind of high, incase that calms you lol.Did I really see $32 in sales tax??? Where are you located
I’m paying $3000!!!! I can’t wait to move…I’m in Illinois.
never mind just saw New Jersey! No sales tax on vehicles or just EVs??
Makes sense, thank you for clarifyingNo this was only for extended Pro and XLT orders from MY22. If you were in week 12/5 build week your window sticker was printed prior to the price hike in the December wave which I don't believe The Lariat prices went up I think it was only XLT and the Pro.
