Ours seems to have gone in the opposite direction .. On Tuesday 9/6 Customer service said and the dealer later verified that there was nothing holding it up for delivery 9/20-9/26. No chip holds.Now that I'm in the built state, I can see an estimated delivery time on my reservation page. Looks like the estimated delivery date range has pushed out 9 days from what was originally quoted to my by Ford Chat last Friday.
But then customer service said today, 9/8, there was a "micro chip on hold at the plant" message on the order with the same delivery date. I called marketing and they said it was tagged on the bottom and was a strange message as not specific to car. He said that was an entry on 9/3 before I spoke to anyone. Oh well, not sure what it all means. He said maybe they found a problem at the plant for the particular chip already installed.
