2022 F150 Lightning Lariat ER
Just got another Date change now showing 10/23 -10/29, seems to be a rolling window.

Now I am just getting Salty.
2/3 wave order, yet those who ordered on the 6/14 wave got theirs?
Truck has been sitting 114 miles away since Tues 10/18
My off the production line photo has my order covered in dirt

I'm hoping it shows up tomorrow (10/25).

I *think* Ford has the assembly line rolling fairly smooth at a decent pace. Timeline problems seem to be mostly with shipping. Train was delayed 3x on a simple route from Mi- NY. Now delayed 3+ days waiting truck transport the last 25mi from the railyard.

Wondering if a shortage of truck drivers is hurting you guys up near Albany area?

My 9/19 production week Lightning is moving along to Central/Southern NJ via Norfolk Southern, now at the Wilmington Port, awaiting a truck to take it to the final destination. Some were surprised mine was not on CSX since my vehicle is going to NJ. Fingers crossed that they move it out of the Wilmington Port and to my dealer this week. Good luck!

Question- I never got a photo of my Lightning going off the assembly line. Do they skip that sometimes, or does it arrive late?

As with many others here, mine has been sitting 30 miles away for a week now.
What's worse, I'm pretty sure I can literally see my truck!
The road to the BNSF intermodal facility in Omaha is public access most of the way, so I wasn't doing anything illegal when I went searching. I found all of the Fords brought in by train (unsurprisingly a TON of F-series) including several lightnings. Only one was white with the rear lightbar matching mine.
I also checked the UP yard in Council Bluffs, IA, but they seem to only bring Stellantis stuff to Omaha.

Has anybody else been this desperate?

Of course, they don't let regular people or even dealers pickup their own vehicles "anymore," according to my dealer.

No doubt truck shortage is hampering shipping. Luck of the draw.... @sotek2345 got his truck within 2 days of it showing up in Selkirk

Photo.... like all emails from Ford it is late, outdated..if you get it at all. Most people(if they get them at all) are weeks after the truck crossed the line. Don't be surprised if you don't get one or if it just shows up out of the blue.

Ford needs to fire their public/customer communications team and start over. Its a hot mess, rather embarrassing tbh. They need to get it together...people would be a whole lot more excited and happy customers if they just learned to communicate.

LOL- and right on cue, I just got an e-mail from Ford about a recall on the Maverick that I unloaded in August. I have asked twice to take me off the e-mail list for Maverick, to no avail. So, I am getting notices on a truck I no longer own and not getting e-mails on a truck I will soon own. Sounds about right. I gotta change my profile (which is managed by Ford Customer relations!) to remove my Maverick. That Maverick, IMO, was a POS. Road noise, terrible gas mileage, just felt cheap. And I had a Lariat version. Hoping for better with the F150 Lightning--if/when I "see" it, either in a photo, or live!!!

I get the truck driver shortage, what I don't get is how am I so far behind in getting my truck compared to others in the 2/3 wave, meanwhile 6/14 or even July waves have received theirs over a month ago.

Ford sends me "get ready to order your Lightning!" 4 months after I submitted an order, but can't be bothered to update me on the schedule changes of the truck I actually *did* order..other than to tell me to contact my dealer.

Ford chat can provide good info here and there, but you have to work for it...

The production scheduling is a whole other issue altogether....

There were many folks in each wave, even 1/6 left standing on the sidelines, even pushed pushed to MY23, IMHO at this point all production should be populated with wave orders FIFO, no more skimming and shifting of build weeks beyond -/+2 weeks.

As an interesting aside, I did see on the Ford Guy's video that Ford is going to treat each wave as its own production to ship "cycle" so we won't see the same inequity and long wait period for MY2023.

This also allows Ford to modify reservation conversion rate as they start to really ramp up.

Hopefully we won't see anyone left waiting 6-8 months like we did in MY22...

3rd schedule change in 24hrs--

Now Ford says Oct 29 - Nov 4.

Truck confirmed as sitting on the railyard ramp now for almost a week waiting on transport to the dealer 25mi away.

Ridiculous....
