To me, that update means that your vehicle is built and awaiting shipping. I have no idea why your truck was so far south of the Rouge plant. Did you order a tonneau or spray-in liner? Or maybe it was pulled for QC testing/driving?

Update. On the tracker I am still in production but this is a dealer order and he set me up with update emails from VinView? I got a mail today that says inspection passed and half hour later :

ETA is still unknown.

Any idea on what this status means for delivery? That said I'm glad to get some update, I was ready to start a support group for hanging Lightning deliveries.

My truck will arrive in East Brookfield MA tomorrow at 6 AM. Most dealerships will likely be closed tomorrow, so I don't expect it to convoy out until Friday.

I spoke with ford chat today. It is shipped and at ramp 58 in Melvindale MI. They have the ETA different then the ford site, according to them it’s 12/7-12/13

WTF. I'm still in production and I just chatted ford.com and they say my eta is now Dec 15-21. Should I be worries that something is wrong with the car? I think Whipsticks and the Tasca are East of me so something is definitely out of order.

I would be concerned if I were still in production, especially if you are counting on the Ford Cash Rebates. I would look at local dealer inventory. What trim are you looking for and where? Are there options you cannot live without in your trim level?

I agree. If it hasn’t been built yet, I wouldn’t expect it this year. Honestly even with mine marked as shipped I’m keeping an eye on local inventory as I’m not sure how much I trust the ETA.

It's time to start looking at available inventory now, I've given up watching several orders from the 7/31 and August build weeks that are stuck at IN PRODUCTION, who knows when those or your truck will finish the build process and roll onto your dealer lot.

If you go to your dealer an explain your concern they will likely refund your deposits (all $600), especially if you find another Lightning on their lot, but likely even if you don't. My original order also took forever (it was an 8/28 build). That dealer sent me my deposit back as a check a few weeks ago, after I had put down a deposit on another Lightning at a nearby dealership that was shipping. I will take delivery of that 10/23 truck this week, and I couldn't be happier about it.
