So picked up the truck last night and plugged it into the CSP and right away the light reads in the left side blinking red. Manual says Ground Fault Error.

Anyone know why that might be? I've heard other say you have to use a public DC fast charger before attempting a fast charge at home??

You had your FCSP before you bought the truck?

You don't need to DC fast charge before charging at home. Have you tried any other J1772 charger?

Whatever you heard is total crap.

I believe that implies that your CSP may not be properly wired. When plugged in, the vehicle refuses to charge and throws that error to the charger.

Need more info. What light was blinking red? Who installed your FCSP? What gauge wire was used? A photo of the FCSP with the cover off would be very helpful. I think RickLightning is on the right path.

The fcsp has to be on a normal breaker as ground fault circuit interruptor is built in to the unit and won't work with a gfci breaker.

Does any manufacturer even make a 100 amp GFCI breaker?

I tried our level 1 J1772 cord that came with our Prius, worked fine!
Yes, my CSP is hard wired into the panel with a 100A breaker.

Yeah, I saw on the reservation portal that you could order the CSP so long as I had placed my production order.

Yes, work fine charging with our level 1 Toyota mobile cord.

Thanks Rick,

I'll revisit the wiring tonight. I'm using the recommended gauge (3/6 I believe it was) for 80A (100A breaker) DC charging and followed the instructions as per.

Photos would be helpful. Your panel and the wiring in the FCSP.

Is the FCSP software up-to-date?

Also, user James1 seems to be dealing with the same issue. There's another thread in the forum that might provide a little insight.
