2024 Flash with 2K miles. I was experiencing a vibration and a loud humming noise that pretty much happened out of the blue. I Did a bunch of research and came up empty-handed. Then I dropped the truck off at the dealer and got a call that the axle had not been “seated correctly from the factory” and had basically self-destructed and taken the front driver side bearing assembly with it. Apparently the axle is backordered until June. The bearing is 3 to 5 days out. They can potentially find another axle across the country and ship it, but are unsure of that as of now. I’m wondering if there are any Ford techs or anyone intimately familiar with the vehicle that can comment on whether or not this repair will be a “one and done” straight forward fix? Or, will the damage that has been done potentially lead to future issues. In other words, should I pursue a buyback as the vehicle is only three weeks old? It seems like a pretty severe drivetrain issue to have in such a young vehicle. Thanks.
