I replaced my 2023 Lightning Lariat ER with a new 2024 Platinum last 10 days ago.
Here is my report after only 10 days of ownership and 335 miles on the odometer.

Here is my report after only 10 days of ownership and 335 miles on the odometer.
Range:
- Definitely about a 5%-10% reduction in range at 60-65 mph trip 2.0 vs 2.1 MKH at 60-65 mph on the GOM.
- The 125 trip I routinely do took 65 kWhs where the Lariat ER took 59-61 KWHs to replenish.
- I feel road abnormalities more in the Platinum. Feels like tires ride slightly stiffer.
- Ride is much less "floaty". Truck feels more "Planted". I don't know if its the spring rates or calibration of the shocks.
- PaaK walk away lock works flawlessly when using my iPhone
- Massaging seats make in "Relaxed" mode sooths the back and my butt on rides.
- Ability to use ProPower onboard with the truck turned OFF works great to precool our powered coolers before a trip
- Throttle response is more ICE like.
- The Platinum has a Gloss front "grill" which looks like it will scratch easily compared the Lariat when removing Florida Bugs
- Upgraded Blue Cruise seems to only give me the addition of automatic lane change when signal light is activated on mapped roads. It does nothing new on unmapped roads
- Ford offered a killer deal on leasing. 0.05% interest on the lease and $21,615 off MSRP and a 55% residual with 39mo/7,500 mile lease.
- Surprised it has "propulsion sounds" when getting on it.
