You might want to take your truck in. I don't think this is normal.It would be so cool if one of these updates said “We’ve fixed the issue of your screen and backup camera freezing and not turning on at all 3-4 times a week”…
I just don’t understand how they haven’t addressed this after years in production! It’s the only thing that really pisses me off about this truck
Any idea of what they could do? I get these issues on the regular too. I always chalked it up to that I am so behind on updates that one of the newer ones will address it.You might want to take your truck in. I don't think this is normal.
I would have them looking into a whole new central unit, I think it's called "APIM". The trouble would be getting them to witness the issue and diagnose it properly to get it covered by warranty. I don't know what version of software you're on. But I was on 4.? since I bought in November, and have had about weekly updates lately so I'm on 6.2 now, only ever had a freeze or blip once or twice in these few months.Any idea of what they could do? Thanks. I'll have the dealer look at it at the 10k service. It has had random freezing and resets since I purchased in October. Only on 4.2.3.1 at the moment. 99 percent of the time things are working fine so it would be hard to recreate. Also it should be noted my use case is probably not typical.
