I searched and could only find threads about the Ford adapter recall.
Anyone else got a letter from A2Z about a recall of their NACS to CCS1 adapter?
A lot of legalese, but it sounds like there are concerns about the locking mechanism, but in the specifics of how it can cause harm, it just sounds.... kind of overblown. An excerpt: "... after approximately 10,000 cycles of insertion and withdrawal.... the adapter may stop working..."
(Remember, our country demands that hair dryer manufacturers have to put safety notices to warn people about not using them in the bathtub...)
Now, if there were really safety concerns here (is, small but nonzero chance of catching fire) I would send in my old one immediately, but this sounds completely overblown - what do y'all think?
Plus, this is a small company (?family owned?) that makes a great product. I don't want to punish them and therefore stifle innovation just because personal injury lawyers run rampant in the USA.
I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions...
