Air filter change and debris

Changed my filter with Pureflow hepa and noticed this when removing the old one. Not exactly sure what it is but wondered if anyone else has seen similar. It is soft.

If it was in a bundle like that when you pulled the filter, it looks like a rodent nest to me.

Looks like nest material. In a side note those Hepa filters can be more restrictive than stock and make the HVAC system work harder and less efficiently

I decided I wanted a better filter than the stock one to hopefully cut down on outside smells. Up to this point the dealer has done all the services.

I recently installed a Pureflow filter. Didn't notice a huge difference in air flow but it didn't help with reducing any outdoor odours either. Happy that it's probably filtering things a bit better but disappointed in failing to reduce the odour by any noticible amount. I'll be going back to the OE filter for the next swap since it's 1/4 of the cost.

This is the cabin air filter? I was just talking with another Lightning owner how nice it is to not have to pay for engine air filters and oil changes, etc.

Mouse for the win! Now where that material is coming from... some traps with peanut butter in your future. I do have some nightmares about what the wiring is made of in these trucks (the soy issues of the past). Particularly a nice "warm" battery pack...
