Okay got the 2 inch lowering shock spring mounts and Icon camber kit installed. It lowered the rear 1.5 inches, taking half of the rear rake out. The ride is exactly as it was stock. In my opinion it looks much better, raked more like an Ice truck comes stock.

I dunno, it just looks brighter stock and all washed out lowered. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, this does look better, I'd really like it to be adjustable for when I do haul something heavy, but this is preferable 99% of the time. Have you done any analysis of efficiency? I would think reducing that rake would make for a slightly lower profile and better mileage, but perhaps it's too minute to make any measurable difference.

I haven't driven it enough to notice any efficiency gain. The truck still has an inch and a half of rake. Should be more than enough to haul some weight and not look like a Carolina squat.

Yup, I got my inspiration from you and another forum member after you guys had a bad experience with the Eibach spring kit.

I'm hopeful someone comes out with a similar solution that lowers the rear a full 3 inches.

I had the Hellwig sway bar installed today. It is both larger in diameter and solid. Body roll was almost completely eliminated and the torque steer under hard acceleration is completely gone. I did have the Eibach lowering springs and sport shocks installed at the same time so part of the difference could be attributed to the lowering kit.

I’ve looked at this product but there aren’t any instructions - these replace the lower spring platform on the rear shocks? They just slip on, or cut/weld?
I'm not 100 sure, I had them shop installed. But I believe after removing the rear shocks you just slip the original spring mounts off and slip the replacements on.

Looks great. Just ordered the McGaughy's kit. But is that Icon camber kit really 400 bucks?

It is unfortunately, I think I found it slightly cheaper. Side note I'm not entirely sure you need it. The wheels might stay within spec with the 1.5 inch drop. Might be worth installing the McGaughy's kit and checking before doing the icon camber kit. I didn't check and just had the shop do both.
