Apple ev routing so many stops?

Ford navigation has me at 3 stops. Apple has 7 charging stops. What’s the deal with it? I do this drive all the time with multiple EVs. In the lightning it’s always 3 stops and ford nav is pretty accurate but wanted to try something different. Thoughts? Is apple just that bad?

Wow that would be frustrating. Without settings to choose arrival soc or to prefer fewer stops. It’s tough to trust some of these apps.

Is there a preference setting for {more frequent / short} vs.{less frequent / longer} charging sessions?

It says "Route Options" at the top. It looks like Apple is giving you more charging station options than the Ford app, but going by that screen capture alone, it's hard to tell.

Does it think you have a Standard Range for some reason? One hour between stops would be semi-normal for an SR traveling highway speeds in the winter.

It should be picking it up from the lightning directly. Our settings are fairly limited within the app when adding the lightning. Really only controls is naming it, plug types, and networks.

I quit using Apple Maps about a month ago. Its nav was constantly taking me on longer routes and the charging recs were just okay. Google maps works so much better it’s worth not having the battery guessometer and finding charging as you need it.
