Auto-fold mirrors not working

I have mirrors set to auto fold when the truck is locked. It worked perfectly the first few days but hasn’t for the past week. Seemed to coincide with the last software update. I’ve turned off and back on several times but no luck. Any one else getting this?

Mine are working OK for the most part. There was one incident where only the driver side mirror folded in while the passenger side stayed out. It fixed itself the next time I started the truck.

Just looked for a 10th time and for some reason the setting was changed to off. No idea how that occurred but turned it back on and now the mirrors are folding

Sometimes updates turn things on/off, on some vehicles, but not all. Or delete things like the charging location.

I was early on. But after one of the software updates and toggling the setting off/on it started working consistently

Same. I use PAAK exclusively and the truck locks, but the mirrors never fold unless I actually hit lock on the app, a fob, or the door handle button. My Mach-E auto-folded on walk-away no problem.

They are working now- but yes only with a button pressed, there is not a walk away lock on the lightning

Well that is kind of stupid. The truck definitely ‘locks’ when I leave, because there’s a 1-2 handle pull lag on the unlock, depending on if the truck was parked a while or whatever.

I think it's related to the PAAK. I noticed if I use my phone to start my truck when I park and lock the mirrors rarely fold in. If I use my key fob exclusively it seems to fold in every time. I've been just hoping they fix it through a software update, but I don't think they've fixed it yet.

Occasionally they would get confused based (I think) on what method I used to lock the truck (fob, door handle button, etc). Hasn’t done it lately though.

That’s weird. I use paak exclusively, and almost always lock by touching the door handle. Haven’t had an issue with auto fold since about 4 software updates ago

yes, the handle touch method works BUT requires a slight beat of delay while the car thinks after you shut the door. That there is no walk-away locking with paak is stupid. Teslas has had it for over ten years. Walk away, locks. Approach, unlocks. Simple as pie.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve never had PAAK previously so this is already an advancement for me, but I’d love a walk away feature
