Unfortunately no. I've got a Pixel 6 so we get Android updates right away and it was still doing it today for me.Anyone know if Android 14 fixed this? I don't usually like to update right away but if Android 14 fixes the issue that would be wonderful.
Cany anyone confirm?
It's ridiculous that they haven't fixed this yet!Unfortunately no. I've got a Pixel 6 so we get Android updates right away and it was still doing it today for me.
Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.I discovered another fun little glitch with Sync and my iPhone 14 this past weekend. Like most other folks, when my phone is connected via bluetooth and I get a phone call, the audio is garbled and I have to switch my phone to speaker and back to bluetooth to get it work properly. This past weekend I was on a call and received second call on my other line. I chose the option to drop the original call and accept the incoming one. After hanging up with the second call, my display went back to Sirius/XM but I didn't have any audio. Used the steering wheel controls to try and change the channel but nothing. Tried changing the channel via the display, still nothing. My display was completely frozen. I couldn't connect to Amazon/Apple music. Nothing from Sirius. Tried to make an outbound call and no bluetooth connectivity with Sync. Completely frozen display/no audio whatsover. I had to pull over, shut the truck off and open the door to reset everything. Thought it was a fluke, until it happened again the next day. Exact same scenario, exact same fix. While I'm sure it's pretty far down the list of bugs Ford needs to fix, I hope they get to it soon because it's pretty damn annoying.
Ford, as you can see there is a major Android issue (as it is in this thread)- do you have a response to what the issue is and if it is being addressed.Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
I appreciate Ford's attempt to engage via this forum, but my interactions via this channel has been pathetic. I replied with my VIN and dealer for this issue and all they wanted to talk about was light bar recall and have I taken my vehicle to the dealer for the Android issue.Hi there! I got a Ford update this morning. So far it seems as though this android issue has been fixed with that update!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The update mentions nothing about any phone updates but hopefully this fixed the issue.
All I know is after the update I no longer have to toggle back and forth.
See extensive conversation about this update on the following threadThe message on my car says priority update 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE.
It also made me reauthorize Android Auto.
