Just wondering if this happens to anyone else. Could be the extreme cold over the past week.

My truck is set to charge to 80%. When I set a departure time and leave 10-15min later the battery drops approx 4% within the first 1-2 minutes of driving.

The truck is connected to a 240V 32A level 2 charger, but it seems like the preconditioning uses more than that which causes it to lose a certain % almost immediately.

I could probably set the target charge to 85% then when I go to use it the truck will be closer to 80%, but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or the possible reasoning behind it.

WHEN ..... did you INPUT the departure time, the fifteen minutes just prior to leave time, ie. like you might a remote climate start?

Or, did you set it: the day before or hours previously?

Understand that battery conditioning requires 15 to 45 minutes of process time to get the pack temperature up and mitigate the cold soaking, so in a unpredictable mode of operation you need to have a measure of predictable action, or set it for an approximate time frame a couple hours prior, once conditioned the heat energy input will persist for several hours.

It does pull more TaxmanHog had some charts showing believe upto 18 kw simultaneously needed during conditioning cycle. At very cold we see exactly what you are seeing set at 100% and after preconditioning at 98% battery. That truck is on a 40 amp/9kw charger. As well the early % drop which I suspect is continued battery warming after disconnecting.
