check the rear light bar, that's a known place where water can get in. I fried mine in a carwash and it was sizzling for a bit before it completely failed. The part is being recalled but for now I have no backup light.

I had mine replaced in the spring, but good suggestion. Still no burning smell since the car wash.

After taking my truck through the car wash yesterday, I noticed a "burning smell" that lasted for a few hours as I was running around doing errands. This is the second time I've experienced it. The first time was a few weeks back when we had HEAVY sustained rain that produced some serious flooding. I want to chalk them both up to a wet undercarriage, but want to see if anyone else has experienced something similar. It didn't occur last winter through the snow/slush so I'm slightly concerned. I checked the battery coolant expansion level when the truck was cool and it was right at the line. No smell on the ride into work this morning. Thoughts or Theories?
i too had a burning smell inside my cabin a day after driving through rain. Yesterday(day after) i drove my lighting around 30 miles and no smell? I also think this is weird as i have had no problems.

mouse nest on the heater?
I’ll check next time the air flow doors in the grill open up. It’s been pretty cold so I don’t think they will open up anytime soon

Was the smell only inside, only outside, or was it both inside and outside?
