I did see this when you originally replied with it and appriciate your technical assistance. I apologize for not responding directly to it at that time, but I don't think any of these items are the culprit.

I most always test when no one is home and no major appliances are running. The AC system isn't backed up, and the heat won't start immediately due to the thermostat's slow reboot process. The only large load on the backup panel that will randomly turn on would be my well pump and that shouldn't be coming on every time I test. One thing I have not done is try a no-load pickup, that would rule out this potential issue. If this were to happen would the low voltage fault happen before any load is picked up? My system faults out without any power transfer having started.

Yes, it has worked in the past and nothing has been re-wired since.

I have always tested by simply shutting off the main breaker in my original breaker panel. When the system was working this is how i confirmed it. (it never has actually auto-transferred in a utility outage)

Few days ago my inverter was at rev .34
looking at the FCSP setup app (i dont see version info in fordpass anymore)
Software version 2.112.91:2.149:1.32:0.62:1.53, Firmware 5.0.16 this seems much older than leejimerson's 2.112.125.xxx
If you have never re-booted your inverter since getting .34 firmware, then please do so. We found today that it might be causing the issue of the system failing right as the truck begins to deliver power. You have to turn off the dark start battery after turning off the inverter breaker to get it to reboot completly.

I always try to give the system it's best chance to work when I test it.

I reboot the charge station and the inverter by shutting down the ds battery with the m professional app. I've also tried to reboot the truck sync system prior too with no results.

I still have to try the no load test. Haven't had time for that yet.

Not sure but my charge station firmware still seems old compared to leejimersons. I'm at 2.112.91:2.149:1.32:0.62:1.53

This is the same version my charge station pro is at.

Home Power has been working the last 3 + days and I’m still on v34 with the Home Integration System. I still have to turn the truck on first to get it to work and sometimes unplug/plug.

Has anyone here had an issue with the truck and charge station forgetting each other? Turns out that was my problem during my HIS test last month. I will try another backup test tomorrow to see if the power transfer works this time; I'm in the boat of "it worked initially and haven't changed much" except many months without a test.

FYI that I initiated a support email chain with Ford via the feedback option at energy.ford.com. I can't tell if the reps are any more knowledgeable than a typical CS rep but they are at least responsive, helpful, and apologetic.

Any improvement with the CSP software update to: 2.112.125.3.15.3.15.3.15.3.15 ?
My CSP got this SW update last week (Mar 16 2025).

I think one reason the HIS is so 'complex' is it seems like SunRun took a solar panel power system and modified it to include a particular EV source, the Lightning HVB through a direct DC connection.

It could have been much simpler to build a new system using the AC output like any generator would be used in a whole house system, loosing 10A x 240V = 2.4kW of course.

Which is why some of use are opting to use the ProPower OnBoard 240V 30A output through a manual transfer switch like the Generac 6853 for example. A lot less expensive too: a $400 transfer switch, a generator cable, and a much simpler installation for an electrician.

Keep It Simple Simon.

I am saying the hardware made by Delta is good. It seems to work consistently and has no issues.

I agree that the FCSP to truck bluetooth communication is a disaster. Based on what I have seen the issue with that is nearly all in the truck (as of current updates), both from a range standpoint and the fact that the truck modem will fail suddenly (including in the middle of providing backup power).

That being said, even all these issues are workable if you understand the whole system and are willing to look at everything. My personal HIS system works fine because I have a tech and electrical background and work with system level industrial controls daily. Unfortunately there is no one that can support the whole system at any of the companies involved, so those without enough personal expertise cannot work their way through the issues one at a time until fixed. Their main troubleshooting is reboot, or even worse, reset the system which is a big mistake.

I am fairly confident I could get most any of the existing systems working, especially if on site, but unfortunately Ford isn't going to hire me to do that.

If anyone wants to message me, I would be glad to do my best to help them troubleshoot. I might start a thread with the proper way to test the system and a way to help start figure out where the trouble might be.
Although my delta E8 did die, but agree generally with your assertion

This happened to me, too. I will try to remember what I did to get it to work. I know I had to get the right rear seat area of the truck within about 4’ of the charger, then open the right rear door and fold that seat down (the truck’s Bluetooth is there). I also reset the truck modem a few times.
This- Was told by the sunrun tech during install that the range between the FCSP and this part of the truck is critical

Please try something...try rebooting the delta inverter one time. I was working today with another person who just had the V34 update, and they had the same issues as you. After completely rebooting the inverter (you have to turn off the Dark Start battery) their system worked again. That was the only thing we tried which seemed to work. On my system the .34 has always worked, but it is highly probable that I had rebooted my inverter because I was also wiring and testing the LG battery.
How did you turn off the dark start battery? I went through this and the Sunrun tech (over the phone) had me shut off the inverter power at the breaker. Took 3 days…
Is this what you did to reset the inverter?

How did you turn off the dark start battery?
Get the M Professional app from the iOS or Android app store. Launching it will give you a DEVICES screen that says "No Device Found." Tap the Search icon (magnifier at the top right of the screen) and be near your Delta unit. Your unit should appear on the screen as "E4_BDI SN:xxx."

Tap the device line. After a "Connecting ..." logo, you'll get an entry box that says, "Enter date code of the device." It's a four-digit number on the serial number plate on the cover of your Delta inverter unit (that you should look up before running the M Professional app!). On the main screen, if the firmware is not the latest, you may see an update pending notice. Update the firmware if you want. Tap the MENU option at the top right, and tap "Advanced Features." Pick the "DS Battery" subitem. There should be a Shutdown button. Tap it once or twice and if all power has been cut off to your FCSP and inverter set up, the solid green LED on the FCSP (which was being powered by the Dark Start battery) should go out.

If you're like me, when you first try to shut down the Dark Start battery, you may find you get a configuration warning out of the app. IIRC, the error message gives a hint as to where to go in M Professional to fix the problem and be able to make the DS Battery shutdown work. Good Luck!

A cool thing about the M Professional app. Down at the very bottom of the Main screen (scroll down!), there is a Power Flow item. Tap on that. Tap details. You'll get an animated graphic that shows how current is flowing (or not flowing!) in your system:

You get the attorney to file a class action lawsuit against Ford telling me my F150 lighting could power my home through their Home Integration System and I will oblige hundreds of dollars for this cause. I have spent over 10 thousand dollars to get this and it has never worked.

Truly thank you.
im guessing this app has too much power for the layperson- but the equipment should have had some other means to support soft and hard resets (eg within FordPass)

"Hi, I'm dissatisfied with my vehicle and wish to initiate a buyback".
Been there done that. 5 months later they deny the claim. Lemon it first. That fails for me the attorney will ramp up a class action. I just wanted forward to give me a truck that would actually have this function 3 years, not once!
