I took the truck in for CSP 24B56 (Front park aid) and was told that the update has been pulled and they are waiting for a new one from Ford. Perhaps the update broke something? This is a bit annoying because it takes me several hours to get to the dealership from the island and this is the second time that I have gone in for an update and it hasn’t happened. It also does not give me a huge amount of confidence in the update process.

At least I was able to get my teeth cleaned while I was in town.

Mine is still showing in the app. Did they say if it’s a 2022 pullback or all years? I have a 2023.

My 2023 was just done and to my knowledge nothing is broken. Does the CSP still show on the Ford website for you?

Yes, it still shows in the app. The tech is the one who told me that the update had been withdrawn by Ford and that they would call me when they got the new update (updated update?). They did perform a different update that I did not know about (Reprogram the front hatch control module 24P24) so I assumed that they knew what they were talking about.

Before scheduling for this update you might want to call to make sure that it is still available - to avoid wasting time like I did.

My truck is a 23 Lariat SR if that makes any difference.

My dealer did this update Monday, no stop order then. Might be a dealer stop and not global. I think the issue is the IPMA update takes a while and if they don’t hook up a power supply there are issues.

In fact my dealer was going to do this update using mobile until they realized I had a Lightning. They told me they have stopped doing mobile service on Lightnings and Mach-E’s because of “connection” issues. I think it’s because they aren’t hooking up a power supply.

As mentioned in the longer thread, the Front Sensor (IPMA/PSCM) update is one step towards the newer BC features. And if you’re handy with FORScan, you can get them now rather than later.

Yes, there have been reports of issues with the mobile service trying to install updates.

Some techs were not hooking up the 12V battery "tender" to the proper terminals (the jumper terminals inside the Frunk passenger side panel or the correct ones inside the battery compartment).
Ford F-150 Lightning CSP 24B56 withdrawn, did the update break things? where to connect to LVB

The blue circles are the correct locations, the red X's the WRONG ones.

The update is needed for a selected set of VINs, so maybe that was the issue with not installing it per the OPer.

There was one update they pulled for a while because it had bricked some vehicles:

Description: High voltage battery module replacement and or battery energy control module becm software update Campaign# 23B57

When I took my truck to have that done, they said it had been pulled. I read some posts later where it had caused some trouble.

I always wait a while when updates come out to see what havoc they may have caused (in Lightnings or Windows or IOS etc.)...time will tell.
