Dealer mannequins arriving when?

I recall dealers getting demo Broncos they referred to as mannequins before the first deliveries. They were for viewing and test driving for reservation holders. They couldn’t be sold until a certain amount of time went by or they rang up certain mileage.

When will dealers get a lightning for display and perhaps drives for reservation holders? I hope this isn’t a dupe, I looked and couldn't find this.

Yes they are getting mannequins - pretty much every EV certified dealer should be getting one. Ford has put penalties (up to $25k) in place to stop them from selling early. They should be shipping out with the first batch of trucks, but we haven't heard anything yet.

I have asked my dealer to be at the top of the list to check it out.

I stopped at my dealer yesterday to inquire about their demo unit. They told me they were going to sticker it up and use as a parts runner / service vehicle. Didn’t expect it to arrive until late summer. Probably how they will get the mileage minimums set so they can sell.

Follow-up on that thread mentioned it was a customer unit that was prematurely released and not available to the public

my salesman called me today and asked me if I wanted to see a lightning . there was a rep training all the salesman with a truck there . so I got to see firsthand today sad news wasn't able to drive . They still are not sure when there is arriving . When there's arrive I was told that I won't be able to drive it.

I talked to my dealer today - said roughly the same thing. Demo is "on the way" but they don't know exactly when it will show. They said they'll only let reservation holders drive it and no sales folks or anyone else.

Theres a Canada dealer who is seeing some indication that their mannequin just got shipped. Still not any customer orders shipped yet.

I belive that is his own truck and not a demo truck.

My dealer is showing their mannequin on their site, and when I look up the order tracking on it, it's a Pro that is already being built. So I expect it will show up very soon.

This is my personal truck.
Unfortunately as a Canadian dealer we do not get a mannequin truck.
