So far what I seen, the Mongoose adapter is producing same type of corruptions as VCX Nano. I don't want to jump into conclusions yet, I will wait for JEB's test results to confirm for sure

That’s not encouraging. Assuming I see the same corruptions, is here any benefit to the Mongoose over the Nano? I know the Mongoose is supposed to be compatible with J2535-2, but is that of any practical benefit?

I'm thinking this could be related to the J2534 protocol and how FDRS handles it and not the adapters. I keep getting different results after each scan. Check out the message I just sent everyone and any thoughts would be nice.

Maybe there still is. When I scanned my truck using FORScan Windows and the VCX Nano, it picked up only 33 modules. When I scanned the truck with FORScan Lite iOS and the OBD MX+ adapter, it picked up 35. I wonder if the Mongoose will pick up more, or at least more than the Nano.

I just checked, the Mongoose picked up 37 modules which is 2 more than FORScan.

Probably the SODCMC and SODCMD that i mentioned earlier. Forscan and my OBDMX see it but not the VXDIAG.

Nope. I have a hybrid. The ones the Nano didn’t pick up are the DCACA (DC/AC Converter Module A) and the BCM_C (Body Control Module C). I don’t think your Raptor has these. Conversely, I’m not sure my Hybrid has the two you mentioned.

I have the BCM_C but not the DCACA. The SODCMC and SODCMD are the front side Obstacle Detection modules. Weird that the 2 you show now are on HS-CAN1 as the ones i have issue seeing are FD-CAN

Ah. I don’t have front sensors. I have only Co-Pilot Assist (not Active) on a 2021 502a Lariat. Thanks a lot for reminding me about how pissed I was not to be able to get front sensors.

No worries. I have a raptor so apparently they are worthless anyway.

Too bad the VCM 3's are hard to find and cost a ton of money. It sounds like that might be the best option to see everything without issues if you can afford it.

@Jesse-Infotainment ’s is rock-solid. But I think the cheapest I’ve seen is about $1500. If cloud corruptions are the only negatives to the J2534 devices, I’ll just have to live with it. I’m not sure there are any negatives other than potentially knocking out OTA updates.

And you can remind me I said that when something catastrophic happens.
