Not bashing them just voicing what I’ve seen. You’re right though could be something with my charger or a combination of charger, surface tablet power supply and powerboost. I have the Noco 7200 and tried it in normal charge mode, AGM, AGM+ and power supply and got the same results. I ended up using 2 6 volt batteries (From my holiday trailer) in series (12 volts) connected to my truck with jumper cables and a charger on the 6 volt batteries charging in 12 volt mode. Constant 12.9 volts all the time. May have been over complicating it but the extra batteries gives the truck greater capacity to handle the draw.
That’s not a bad set up. I have a pair of 12V Battle Borns wired in parallel on my travel trailer that I could have pressed into service if the NOCO struggled. But it really didn’t. It was no doubt at it’s limit—it’s programmed to deliver 13.6V at up to 10 amps in power supply mode and was only able to muster about 13V during programming—but it’s plenty for Fords. Your 7200 maxes out at 7.2 amps, which I think is just short of enough, which is why you probably had problems.

Well, nuts. I knew the Nano would not update the CCM. I didn't realize the Nano would brick the CCM.

Anyone around Austin with a Mongoose willing to help out?
I live in Leander and can help, I have a forum member coming over Monday(depends on the weather) pm me if still needed.

I have the running boards not moving issue as well. I PMI'd the DSM with both original and new module, ran test, and configured, but not joy. Looking at the datalogging, the running boards are not shown for me as a test point.

Any suggestions?

Also, I too have the IPC DTC that will not reset. I am hoping I can PMI it in a day or so as well.

Got my power running boards fixed! I ran the PMI on the DSM as Not Original Module and all went well with no effect, boards still not moving. I then ran another test on the DSM module which this time moved the running boards. After this, all was fine. Thanks to everyone for all your help! 5 more hours on my 2 day (actually 3 day 6 hours) license, Still have the IPC DTC U2100 which has resisted several tests and a PMI both as new and original module. May give it one more shot tonight.

Final note from me about my update experience (for now). I had Camera's at Speed and Glare Free lighting enabled, both of which had IPMA changes made. I didn't restore anything back to stock prior to updating my modules today. When I was done, no DTCs on any modules. I checked twice in FDRS before finishing and then also in FORScan as well. It seems that @Bob_Mac had a unique experience.

So the update "mostly" finished. It had me turn on/off the car a couple of times at the end and then eventually it came up with

"Procedure Unsuccessful - ReadFalshActionDIDsFromModule

Update was not scucessful"

I hadn't done *any* scanning with the Nano. Eventually when I did at that point, I had every DTC possible for the APIM and IPC it looked like.

Trying to clear and retest now that I "scanned". I can tell the APIM seems a bit off as its missing a few digits at the end of it.

Voltage was rock solid at 13.6 the entire update....Truck seems fine but guess I need to sort through these DTCs now.

I have the same issue with the running boards, but this was post battery disconnect. Haven’t done yet the steps outlined by others to try and fix it. Ran out of time before work. I feel like Dumbo driving my truck to work with the running boards down ?

Got the APIM DTC's all cleared up and tested positive. I did see the GWY pop up and at least that update seems to be running. Letting the vehicle sit a bit now for the restart.

Feel like I let it sit for at least... 20 minutes. Started the truck back up and said it needed to restart again. Guess I need to let it sit a bit longer.

If Ford would do their own dam job we would not have to.

How long has everyone waited after inserting the USB drive into the port in the truck before it started updating automatically? I’ve waited 10 minutes and never got a message. I can see that the USB drive is detected though when inserting.
