Extra "undesired" options on map display

Is there a way to get rid of the stuff below the map that I highlighted in yellow below? I would rather see more map graphic instead of what is essentially advertisements.

Tap on the MAP mini icon once again and the middle bar will contract to just the icons, which can't be removed all together.

Clearly I do not understand what to push. I have no idea what the "map mini" button is, but you included the graphic at the left end of the search bar in your message. All that does is fill the entire screen with search options.

It should have caused the weather and radio station tiles to disappear, increasing the viewable area of the map.

I'll shoot a photo of my view tomorrow.

Hit the map icon below the weather tile, not the search bar.

He gave you a pic of the icon at the bottom, between the mic and iHeart. Not the search bar. Inside that yellow rectangle you drew.

It's literally the Google maps icon, it's on your phone too and possibly on your computer at home.

Those extra screens are other apps that are open, the left is weather, the right is music. You are using Android auto through your phone. Welcome to the future.

lol this screen is a joke . What if do to have the standard 12” display and hvac controls . Really wish I’d bought a 23 XLT Er that’s the last ER without the goofy screen . Between the delay getting in and just 3 steps to do everything when simple
