I don’t think that’s the case. Some folks have successfully modified a Tesla adapter to charge their Tesla. There would be nothing to the DC pins in that scenario.
Interesting…. 🤔

Hopefully not too off topic, I just installed the FCSP on a 60 AMP breaker. My service is only 100 AMP so didn’t see the point in going 80 or 100. At 48A the charge time from 40-80% is more than reasonable and for longer drives, even 40-100% is more than doable overnight. I installed it on #2 copper though so if I upsize my service to 200A one day, I won’t have to re-run the wire to the charge station. I also have a 50 AMP plug for the Ford mobile charger that will be coming next month with the new Escape PHEV and I put a bunch of relays with a current sensing device in to interlock loads, shutting down my garage heater when the FCSP kicks in.

Question: why connect the FCSP to wifi? What does it do that the Ford Pass app doesn’t?

I think the only thing you can really do is change the charging rate. You can also get reports of charging output and cost by day/week/month.

In addition to the above, you also want your FCSP to receive a couple of software updates to fix a manufacturing issue with the baseline, I'm not certain recent builds have a higher software level than many of us old timers had in 2022.

So to be sure I’m understanding clearly, your modification method entailed what exactly and used what to do it?

Dremel tool or hacksaw blade. You have to cut off the joining plastic on the Charge Station Pro between the round AC section and the DC Pin section, and on the Tesla adapter, it requires cutting off the bump-out that hits that area on the J1772 plug. I'll upload photos later unless someone beats me to it.

Much appreciate for this , thank you!!
Any pics are just icing on the cake.
I’m hoping everything else functions as intended after doing this.
I’m trying to make use of two of these “free lol” chargers I already own, but also have ability to use with tesla in the coming year. I have no desire to use with the home integration part of adapter.

In a mysterious FedEx delivery attempt, I received the Ford charge station pro about two weeks after the vehicle purchase. I didn't need to complete anything, it just arrived. I already have an 80-amp Clipper Creek charge station installed in my garage, so not sure yet what I will do with the Ford station. My current station is is a simple set-up and does not have any wi-fi connection options. The only limitation to the Lightning I have found is that it cannot charge faster than 13 KW on my charger, which is a bit of a bummer this cannot be easily increased on the vehicle or in the app. I should be be equipped to charge the 2023 Lightning at the full 19.2 KW.

I think the Clipper Creek is a 64 amp charger on an 80 amp circuit that can charge at a max rate of 15.4 kW. You should be able to get more than a 13 kW charge rate but probably not the max charge rate of your truck. This is based on the current specs of this charger now that Enphase owns them. Your Clipper Creek model may have different specs.

I got the FCSP and the Sun Run stuff, hoping for the fast turn-around 80 Amp charge and home backup... and then found that to run it at 80 amps would involve rewiring my home loads, or upgrading my home power feed from 300 to 400 amps, which would cost about $4000 in addition to the Sun Run stuff I already bought. And the Sun Run stuff only working if you sacrifice a goat on a moonless night or something. Since this seemed like an ever deepening morass, I decided to cut my losses, and had the FCSP installed to just run at 42 amps, no 2-way. It is still faster than most destination chargers, and was pretty cheap to get put in (on it's own dedicated circuit from the 100A mains that it shares with a fuse box of other home circuits.)

And what I found out, is that charging at 42A has been more than fast enough.
The good news is that the Sun Run stuff IS good solar controllers etc, per my installer. So when we install solar, then we'll finish the Home Backup stuff, and need minimal new "boxes" for the solar.

Take note my FCSP & Lightning-ER generally draws 18KW on a theoretical max potential of 19.2 on my setup, ie. 93.75% of device rating, you're observing 13/15.4 or 84.42%, question is, is it the EVSE or your truck?? values based on @fvineyard citations
