Plugged truck into charger last night and had the normal pulsating blue light as well as an amber light display on charger-was only charging at 3kw
Called Ford and after lengthy talk they stated an update to FordPass reset the max charging rate to 12amps
Went through steps to pair charger and reset amperage to 48 amp then had to off breaker for charger about 5 min
Once powered all back to normal

I get the blue/yellow on my FCSP about half the time. It seems completely random. Last I talked to Fomoco they indicated charger was operating correctly but never explained the yellow light.

That is a first, I recently got the android version of Fordpass update to 5.12.0, and did my weekly charging last night, ran full tilt at 80 amp setting with no software induced derating.

Are you running iOs Fordpass? Those folks are having a bevy of issues.

Yes iOS FordPass app
Note: Ford charger pro is set for 48 amps since my service panel could only allow a 60amp breaker
Yellow amber light with blue light when charging indicates charger is operating at reduced rate

When your FCSP is working normally ie. giving you the full 48 amps ~11.52 KW, does the yellow lamp normally not show?

I may be mistaken, but the hardware setting (switch in the cabinet) selected at any particular rate is the normal maximum for the selection, then if you try further derating it below the hardware setting via FordPass FCSP settings, that's when the yellow lamp should appear.

I may have this wrong, since I never lowered the setting on my FCSP.

Others want to chime in, ie. folks on a 60 amp breaker with installed rating at 48 amps, how has it performed for you based on the OP's experiences.

Derating using FP will definitely cause the amber light to glow. I’ve never set the hardware switch lower, so I don’t know if that will also show amber.
