I don't want to further derail the thread, but here's the video. It's almost unreal, the cart moved on its own and seemed to target my car. I can only guess wind? Or demon?
Who did you run over last week? That's some revenge being taken out right there. It took that ghost a second to get the cart under control, but it knew what it was doing.

Thank you so much, sent.
Like you we ordered the Platinum primarily for the Active Motion seats. Just prior to our start of production we downloaded our window sticker. It clearly shows multi contour with Active Motion. We have been following our status via oder tracker and confirming Active Motion on the window sticker available there almost daily. Today we rteceived notice that our delivery had been moved forward from 7/31-8/6 to7/27-8/2. That was great news! The bad news, however, is that our window sticker no longer shows Active Motion seats(although it did yesterday) and an unordered dealer option(wheel lock nuts) has been added. We are too concerned with the dealer option but are VERY concerned that the Active Motion seats no longer show on the window sticker(the sticker does no show any credit as others have indicated). Calling Ford was an exercise in futility as they had no idea why the window sticker had changed and told us that all Platinum editions have Active Motion. They suggested contacting our dealer, who also had no clue as to any changes. Ford, clearly, needs to get their act together if they want to maintain their customers.

Felling concerned about all the deletion threads, I just checked my Platinum order on ford.com. The Max Recline seats with Active Motion were the only option I had added.

Sure enough, the Max Recline seats and Active Motion have been removed. No warning or notification from my dealer or Ford about removing items from my build.

I had been riding high anticipating my upcoming 8/15 build week , now I have mixed emotions and disappointment. The Max Recline / Motion seats are what put me over the edge to step up to the Platinum trim, otherwise I would have stayed with the Lariat.

I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer as the Lightning specialist was not in today. I hope this gets resolved without deletion...

I did not order platinum, but if I did this is as close to a bait and switch situation as I have seen recently. How many people ordered the platinum over the lariat for the seats. Yes you get bigger wheels (may not actually be desirable), better sound system and softer leather. However much they charged to add these seats (or did in the past) should be the discount. The 300 credit should be what the give you as a sorry this isn't available now, but we will get it to you asap. If the delete is going to happen the buyer should be contacted and give the option to downgrade.

Agree 99% with this. I pointed out to my sales guy that while I in no way believe that this is an *intentional* bait and switch (Ford couldn’t predict the extent of the supply chain shortage) it definitely worked out to be a *functional* bait and switch if we can’t downgrade or get those seats. They (Ford, the dealer doesn’t have the power to do this at this point) need to make it right or it does end up being a bait and switch.

That looks like a June 30 post. Dealer never communicated it or received customer approval to add such "...option for their benefit of customer to get earlier delivery." 300$ credit, 12K trim adder? I could go on but don't want to rehash, that's for Ford mgt. Happy dealers solution - cancel your order after we receive delivery and we'll put in another order for you for the Lariat. But the tax credit expires, not mentioned, and it will take 1.5 years because you start at end of line.

Oh, go to Ford 2023 config page and add the options back for Platinum 2023 model, not default now, but go ahead and add max recline and it will tell you they have to delete the Lariat seats and add back the multicontour to the Platinum trim. Guess the chip supply is coming back in a few months? We have to get those 2022 Lightnings shipped to make the quarter and close the books on 2022 for the benefit of the customer, of course. And clear that parking lot, bad to see so many open Frunks and hear customers remotely beeping their horns. Just a 300$ hit on our bottom line Platinum trim profits, customer won't notice UNTIL the day they pickup their 1.5 yr wait reservation, then MAKE them sign a form to drive it away that they know it's missing 12K trim options, so we don't get sued. We know the majority of Platinum owners upgraded to that trim for options only in that trim, that's why we put them ONLY there! Heck, for their own crazy reasons, they thought more important than a 20mi drop in range. Sucker customers but our main profit center right now.

Doesn't matter. Too much trouble to give our first time Ford crossover customers option to add the active motion module at the dealer sometime after delivery or ask the customer if they don't mind waiting or credit them the aftermarket cost to add later. IF they don't sign car it is dealers to sell to the highest bidder, 30K ADM would move it in a few hours. OK, get it? Yes, reality of the conflict of interest that is setup and is occurring. Ford blames passive-aggressive becoming less relevant storefront dealer, dealer blames Ford the future online-only EV dealer. Oh, wait, the customer?

One thing I noticed is they are calling it a multi contour seat module, maybe all the wiring will be there and it can be added back in ?

Id like to add in here that the multi-contour seat module is called SCMG and SCMH per the 2021 F150 workshop manual.

My understanding is they are replacing the whole seat with Lariat model so wiring harness, active motion bladder components, the chair wings, max recline possibilities will not be possible even when the active motion chip comes back in stock. If what you said was true you could go to a junk yard and pickup the module as it's the same one that has been used for years from what I hear. That's what dealer told me but I doubt they even know for sure since I told them it was missing from Ford order status web page and they pleaded ignorance for weeks. I hope you are correct, but clear customer communication has not been a feature of this development so it is anyones guess.

after digging through the workshop manual, it wont be just a module. so for you guys wanting to add the active motion back in it will probably be a complete seat replacement. im gonna go ahead and assume multi contour will be deleted on my 23 super duty when i order it. :(

This whole thing is like ordering a steak dinner at a restaurant, but instead of the waiter coming back to tell you, "Sorry, we just ran out of steak tonight, would you like a burger?" They just bring you a burger and tell you, "Well, it's still beef. We will take $1 off for your troubles though."

I'm working with a Ford rep on this forum via DM who's looking into my issue right now (scroll up for their contact info in this thread) so I just deleted an angry post I had on here about this whole mess, but I've got it saved if things go south . . .

If you go on to Blue Oval Forums (thanks #1 Scuba for directing us there) you'll see a lot of talk about those seats being deleted on 22 Super Duties. I'm just digging in myself now: https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/search/&q=max recline delete

So it’s weird because mine briefly showed the Max Recline deleted and the ActiveMotion removal…but as of this second, both are back on my order. (Split screen in Safari to show Ford.com is literally current from right now)

What's your build week? Mine is 8/1, blend date 8/3 on the window sticker. Neither my reservation details nor the window sticker show the Max Recline added back in and I'm getting down to the wire on this (inferior to Lariat ER in range and payload) "Platinum" they'll be building next week with seats I didn't order. I also didn't order the spray-in bedliner in hopes that it would speed up my delivery based on what I read on forums. I don't think that's a factor, but at this point, who knows?
