Ford Navigation always been this optimistic?

Haven’t used the Ford Navigation for a road trip in a while. I thought I remember it being fairly close-ish on estimations. Was looking at a route last night and it showed this stop (350kw I think) and it said it would take only 9 minutes from 15 to 71%????

Now, I dont road trip a whole lot…but I remember thinking it would take at least 3x that long!

Am I missing something, or is this just another glitch in the system?

Haha. Like I said, it’s been a minute since I’ve taken a DC charging road trip, but I have taken a few!
I tried different chargers on the planning and they were all in that sub 10 minute for 50-70 percent of the battery replenishment!

I built a route from Home depot to New England Dragway, my route plan is showing a more realistic mid trip charging session, take note the amount of charge is only enough to complete the circuit with a low ending SOC. In that brief 8 minutes at an average energy draw is 127 KW the SOC could be increased from 23% to 34% and still get me home.

Yeah, with the lightnings good initial charge curve no matter when plugged in, that seems much more realistic than mine.
I’ll run the route again today and see if the glitch has been fixed!

I think the energy computations are accurate based on the first leg at 1.95 MPK, but your charging stop is likely to run about 25-30 minutes not 9
