Ford Power-Up 4.1.3 Video streaming and new games

I’ll give you my experience on how I got 4.1.3

I’ve typically been getting updates while I’ve been driving or away from home. I hadn’t driven my truck yesterday so when I didn’t get it overnight I decided to go for a ride closest to cell phone towers near my house to see if I could get this update to push .

I drove about 5 minutes away (it was was 12:57 . I then changed my software update schedule to 1:00pm. I jumped out of my truck for 30 seconds and locked the truck . I then got back in and started driving . 3 minutes later and at 1:01 pm I received the notice my software updated to 4.1.3 . It felt like magic but also could just be a coincidence.

I need to visit my favorite pizza restaurant which is next to a huge cell tower, I'm still waiting for 4.1.2 & 4.1.3

Would be so much less of a headache if it simply told you what latest version was installed!

My last install history record is still showing from several weeks ago when 4.1.1 hit, but eventually that will disappear.........

Very quick first impression is YouTube isn’t usable. 2 mins of buffering for 3 sec of playback and repeat. With full strength Wi-Fi.

Ok with my Bluetooth connected from my phone it kept trying to use my phone. When I disconnected it, it truly used my home Wi-Fi and worked fine.

Just tried this exact thing. Besides it not updating, i think i need a potassium tablet for parking directly next to the cell tower

FWIW I looked online and found the cell tower is used for AT&T

I just changed my vote to YES after 4.1.3 updated.

I logged into my ad-free YouTube account and watched a couple videos. It's a bit slow, but seems to be doing a lot of caching (more than buffering) with the first use. The audio with music videos sounded good. The favorite thing I discovered is that I can roll through non-music videos at 2x.

I got an update yesterday (was already on 4.1.2), but truck still in shop so not sure if it was 4.1.3. There's been so many updates while in the shop I probably won't recognize the screen .

IMHO, it looks a lot better. All along, I knew Ford could discover the color pixels in that 15" iPad.

Just got it after a longish drive today. Tested a few music videos and had no buffering issues and the sound was very good!

Well after 35 days in service I finally got my truck back and can official say it did get the 4.1.3 update. My wife in concerned because I’ve been sitting in the driveway for the past hour discovering what’s new
