Last week my heated steering wheel was completed along with the lightbar recall & the dashmat CSP & CSP for a replacement battery module - 16 days total in service & they claimed they couldn't do the CSP attached of Oct. 12 since they needed a WIRELESS ACCESSORY CONTROL MODULE (phone charger) that is a 2024 part that hasn't been manufactured as yet! I opened a case with Ford so corporate is tracking it too.

I took my truck in nearly a month ago and the Heated Steering was not done because they didn't have the correct SCCM even though I waited a week for them to get the proper part. Since then not a word even though I was promised about 2 weeks for the proper part. Ford you are falling apart, this has never been so poorly coordinated. DO NOT send out CSP's and not deliver, you are simply making the matter worse. I guess I will pick up my CT and sell the Lightning.

Good luck getting that CT in a reasonable amount of time. As a Tesla owner, we have a thing that is called "Tesla Time" Elon over-promises and under-delivers. it will be 1-2 years before any large numbers come out of the factory and I WOULD NOT own a year 1 Vehicle. Will the CT have a heated wheel? No one knows

Keep track of your 30+ days in service since it is key to BBB forcing Ford to buy back Lightnings at full retail - people on here have done it 3x over the years - that is what I plan to do since they're failing so bad including the price reductions which has many of us $10k more into a short-range vehicle even w/ER.

Since the dealer is forcing me to pick it up, maybe I shouldnt? I should just leave it there until it's fixed?

Yes, I'd leave it there on the grounds that it is unsafe to drive per Ford's own CSP & related communications - let us know how that goes.

Window defroster, brakes, TPMS, windshield wipers would be safety items.

Comfort and convenience items are not.

No - what else did you have done & what other issues - it depends on how the CSP's interact with other modules/12v battery et al.
Main issues were getting OTA's and also the home Integreation System. The ford charger will not stay connected to Wifi, the Ford pass app says "Unable to back up" and shows a fault at the truck. We are supposed to see if the cord update fixes it.

But it's been in and out several times so it should qualify regardless of if it stays or not.

Dealer service is delaying me for the last CSP "charge cord stuck" below - here's the message to them - did they tell you the part to fix it is on the way or like me - did they claim a 2024 part is needed:

"I'd vote to do that last CSP 23B50 soon if feasible at all - given the "battery may not fully charge & burning of charge point pins" is possible. And then await the "2024 part that doesn't exist" issue - up to you though & what error codes should I be looking for? Hesitant to drive it over the passes or on a trip given how critical the 12v battery is & Lightning forums feature it quite often.

And you await the wireless charge port part that charges phones at the center console area - is that part LL1Z19J235C Wireless Charging Module tray - $275 - 3-5 days or so to delivery?"

From what Rugedraw has showed me, it looks like they were able to update the battery module (or the software fix was all that was needed). He states it's done and a lot of other modules were updated as well.

I actually got 6.2 and 6.3 while it's been waiting for me to pick up.

The one thing I haven't seen or heard was the charge cord update, whatever that was.

Is Anybody currently getting their CSP's taken care of and have a hold on heated steering wheel? Anybody out there work for Ford that can verify this?

I just sent my truck in on oct 24 for CSP's. Then I get it back on the 25th, they say it's all taken care of, but the button doesn't work. They take truck back for an hour and say it won't flash, needs an APIM update/reset or something, and they have to keep it overnight again.

Today the 26th they say they can't fix it, Hotline doesn't know why. An hour later they tell me Ford has issued a hold on heated steering wheel repairs.

Is anybody else dealing with this crap or is it just me?
Had my HSW installed a week ago (Oct 20th). it works fine.

Charge cord is what I attached above and it pertains to the flawed 12v battery also - let me know if you file on the BBB site since you have 30 days of service and should easily get a full buyback. I have 16 days so will file once I get 30. I had a battery module replaced for the battery module CSP below - also attached other recent CSP's.

For what it is worth, I took my Lightning in last week for the 10K tire rotation and all the updates (dash pad, light bar, 23B50, and steering-wheel heat-undelete). They got it all done in a week but the SWH DOESN'T HEAT! Dealer called me and said they couldn't do any more until Ford creates a new updated software (for the Dealers). They mentioned there were 20 or so other Lightnings in a similar situation.

So, I have my truck back but with a non-functioning steering wheel heat. At least now the soft button shows up on the Sync screen. I guess that is something, let's call it a "placebo" effect.

One thing I did notice was that, even though I received several updates at the dealership, I'm still at 6.1 update. I wonder if getting 6.2 or 6.3 in some way would help matters? Unlikely, right?
