Just to update since I said I'm still on hold, I went up the service chain at my dealer and told them to get their head out of their ass.

So I'm going in on Monday because the software update miraculously reappeared out of this air.

Update: heated steering wheel works. Other update, they damaged the leather on my steering wheel….. truck is back at the dealership as the service manager says, “it’s not that noticeable”

Hilarious & consistent deviance - I have them sign an inspection form on my '23 to prove it is pristine going into their cluttered garage.

I just bought my 2023 Platinum off the dealer (no pre-order). I was given a printed list of things such as the scales had been removed, as well as the Advanced security and silly super flexible seats they originally came with. I knew all of that going in.

But.. the sheet also said that the heated steering wheel would be installed at a later date (Late November 2023). So, while I had not expected a heated steering wheel, it was nice to see I would eventually get one for free(-ish. I did buy the truck)
That said, yesterday, I saw the steering wheel heater button on the dash and wondered what it would do without the wheel on there.

Lo and behold - I have the heated wheel. Either they are now coming out of the factory with them again, or a dealer installed it. This dealer did not have the truck on the lot and when I bought it, it had 31 miles on it. So they had to have someone drive it over to them from another dealer.

For those with trucks that were delivered without them, I hope you get them soon, since mine had it on day 1.

(I need to go look up the vin and see the manufacture date { was it a Monday? })

Congrat's on the surprise warm wheel!

If you want to know when the truck was scheduled for blend date it's printed on the tire rating sticker in the drivers door jam in this example the truck was built in the 2nd month of 2023, the scheduled blend day was Sunday Feb 5th 2023

This was @davehu it actually started being built on Saturday 2/4 way back when the factory was right on schedule with no delays.

WHere is the heated steering wheel button? I took my 2023 in for the updates and supposedly they installed the chip so I have the steering wheel, but we can't figure out how to turn it on!

Thank you. I don't remember seeing it there, but i will check as soon as I get out of work. We use the heated steering wheel on our Explorer more than the actual heater here in Sarasota.

the heated steering wheel was deleted from my build with a $610 credit. I didn't actually get my truck until 9/11 (its a very long story) amd last month they (dealer) added it at no charge. Works great! In fact I'm surprised at how fast it heats up.

since I got my truck on 9/11 I've received two updates. one about 10 days ago to power up version 4.2.1.1. and another just this afternoon to version 4.2.1.2

Can someone confirm if Ford has parts for all configurations of the SCM? I have been trying to get my dealer to do this CSP for 2 months and they keep crying lack of the proper module. Ford we need real transparency on these issues.

What is the CSP number? Ford is not transparent & seriously flawed at most levels - adequate in taking down complaints but F grades for resolving. Attached a CSP local service says they can't complete due to a WACM part need for the phone charger that fails. I asked why not do the CSP then redo it once the backorder part comes in since the CSP is a critical battery issue - no sane reply so far.
